This year’s HackUTA was an amazing experience, and I’m grateful to have been part of it as both an organizer and as the President of ACM @ UT Arlington. HackUTA is a 24-hour hackathon held at The University of Texas at Arlington, where students collaborate, innovate, and build projects from scratch, bringing their tech ideas to life. From the early stages of planning to the very last minute of the hackathon, this journey was shaped by collaboration, growth, and the dedication of an incredible team. ???? In the lead-up to the event, we organized a series of workshops and team-up mixer event, carefully managing logistics and working within budget constraints to ensure that participants were well-prepared and had opportunities to connect. Securing amazing sponsors like Red Bull added an extra spark to the event, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere for everyone involved. ?? The event weekend itself was a whirlwind of activity. It was three days of nonstop work with minimal sleep, tackling challenges, managing people, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Despite the intense pace, getting to meet and collaborate with so many brilliant minds made it all worthwhile. Looking back, organizing HackUTA 6 was both a privilege and a lesson in responsibility, embodying Spiderman’s iconic words: “With great power, comes great responsibility.” ??? I’m proud of what we achieved and incredibly grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported us along the way.
