?????????????? ?????? ???????????? ?????????? ???????? Today, we proudly celebrate ?????? ?????????? ???? ???????????????????? at Acme Manufacturing! This milestone would not be possible without the support of our customers, partners, and the dedicated Acme team. Our story began in 1910, when Gustave Carlson founded Acme Manufacturing in a small Detroit, MI shop, crafting a single-spindle semi-automatic buffing machine to polish headlight bezels for the Ford Model T. Over the decades, we've introduced numerous innovations, such as the first centerless tube buffing machine in the 1920s and large-scale polishing systems for automotive components in the 1950s. Today, under the leadership of the fourth-generation Carlson family, we continue to provide innovative finishing solutions that enhance manufacturing. Over the next few weeks, we’ll share more iconic moments from Acme’s long-standing journey. #115Anniversary #RoboticProcessAutomation #Since1910?

?????????????? ???????? ???????????????? – ?????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????????? This robotic grinding cell was built around 4 FANUC America Corporation M710iC/50F robots, each with a 50Kg payload, working in parallel to grind weld seams on steel electrical enclosures. Each robot is dedicated to a specific corner, enabling the system to finish parts fast with a 45-second cycle time. We partnered with PushCorp to provide high-torque, servo-driven spindles and active force-compliant slides, enabling control over the grinding process. Utilizing 3M abrasive disks, this combination easily removes the welds, preparing the surface for painting. Various-size parts were randomly presented to the system on a roller conveyor, and the system would adaptively adjust programs based on part size. Once a manual and time-consuming task, Acme was able to help this customer achieve repeatable finish results and refocus employees on more meaningful work. ????????-?????????? ?????????????????? ???????????? – ???????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????? This high-speed Dual-Robot Deburring System was designed for deburring ID snap ring grooves on aluminum transmission shells. Using radial wire brushes, burrs are easily removed at an impressive rate of 257 parts per hour! ?????????????????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ??????????????: 1. Shells are loaded onto a roller-bearing conveyor track and presented to the Acme finishing system.? 2. FANUC America Corporation Robot #1 picks the part by the small diameter using a SCHUNK USA three-jaw pneumatic gripper EOAT.? 3. Burr’s are consistently located and only require 1 revolution in two positions. Large-diameter deburring takes place.? 4. The shell is transferred to robot #2 for small-diameter deburring.? 5. Parts are placed on a roller-bearing exit track that features a 90-degree repositioning tip-up device. This system was built to handle high-volume manufacturing demands, finishing 1.3M+ parts annually at 100% run time. Process force and media wear are monitored in real time to ensure repeatable results.
