Project Spotlight: Amant Campus, Brooklyn, NY The Amant campus extends across three blocks in rapidly changing, industrial North Brooklyn, with artist studios, galleries, offices, storage, and a cafe. The project showcases an ingenious use of brick, employing all faces - including the fluted "back." This approach creates unified volumes rather than assembled planes, challenging traditional brick patterns. Acme's versatile Perla Steele Gray Modular Velour brick seamlessly mimics the gritty industrial exterior and transforms into a clean, quiet gallery interior by simply changing the exposed faces. At our Montgomery, AL plant, we recently recycled 4,000 pounds of stainless-steel filter cages during a shutdown cleanup, keeping material out of landfills and preventing 3 tons of CO2 emissions.
