Oklahoma’s SB 1854 goes into effect today, 11/1. SB 1854 criminalizes unhoused folks who camp on state property with a fine of $50, 15 days in jail, or both. If you see this bill being enforced, please contact our intake at: [email protected]. Enforcement may look like a brief interaction between police and an unhoused person with a blanket or other bedding that ends in the unhoused person's arrest.
