Aclarity was recognized last week by the Cleantech Group as a top 100 Global Cleantech company in 2025. Alongside, and to our surprise, we also were awarded the Rising Star Award, which is awarded to this year's highest-ranked company of the companies making the list for the first time. Water and public health are being recognized in Cleantech, and these worlds are finally connecting. Congratulations to the entire Aclarity team, our Board, customers, and partners. The PFAS cleanup expense is wild. This is just in Europe. Innovate, deploy, and destroy. "The cost of cleaning up toxic forever chemical pollution could reach more than ￡1.6tn across the UK and?Europe?over a 20-year period, an annual bill of ￡84bn, research has found."

We are just beginning to see the switch away from PFAS in consumer goods. Way to go, Patagonia, Columbia Sportswear Company, and others for putting the resources into phasing out PFAS chemicals and successfully eliminating them in their supply chain. We are looking forward to seeing more companies follow suit!

Solutions to reduce PFAS in fertilizer include eliminating PFAS at the source or requiring manufacturers to pre-treat PFAS in wastewater before it reaches wastewater treatment facilities.

This is a nice summary of EPA's draft sewage sludge risk assessment for PFOA and PFOS. Essentially most sludge has PFOA or PFOS greater than 1 ppb, which is above this threshold. We'll be watching this new administration's moves for PFAS legislation closely.
