Pressing Through the DEI Demise: Truth, Accountability & Action It’s no surprise (see attached). The cycle of inequity in society remains pervasive, yet too often, conversations about it are dominated by privileged voices. ?? #WakeUp If you need assistance, a thought partner, or strategy, we’re here. ? https://lnkd.in/eXNm4kDr #Culturalfluency—true connection across differences—is critical at every level of privilege. The demonization of #DEI isn’t about improving society; it’s a deliberate distraction from the historical truth and reconciliation we desperately need. Too many discussions lack an understanding of the psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, and social science behind racism, sexism, caste, bias, oppression, capitalism, and discrimination. Please Remember: ???. This isn’t about identity politics (that’s a made up concept and narrative). ???. It’s about ethics, equity, justice, dismantling systemic barriers, and economic superiority. To press through the attack on ideals of inclusion, belonging, DEIA+A , we must: 1?? Stay Rooted in #Ethics and Truth – Educate ourselves and others on the real history of inequality using interdisciplinary perspectives, not just headlines or political rhetoric. 2?? Challenge Privileged Narratives – Speak up when conversations erase systemic oppression and reframe DEIA+A as divisive rather than necessary. 3?? Build Cultural Fluency – Engage in meaningful dialogue, advocate for inclusive policies, and ensure equity remains a priority in #business, workplaces, communities, and beyond. 4?? Provide Your Own Funding – Invest in DEIA+A initiatives personally and collectively to sustain critical efforts without waiting for permission or approval. 5?? Find Sponsors & Partners – Align with organizations, leaders, and allies who are committed to real change and willing to support equity-driven work. 6?? Listen to All Voices – Center the experiences of marginalized communities, ensuring that those most affected by inequity have a platform and influence in decision-making. Plus, hear those that disagree and provide an opportunity for sharing respectful dialogue and feedback. ? This isn’t the time for passivity. Equity requires action, accountability, and courage. ?
