Acera Partners builds integrated talent and compensation strategies that foster growth.

关于我们

At Acera Partners, we view talent and compensation strategies as an integrated system. This integration unleashes innovation and growth for the organization and its people. We call this Talent Agility. By integrating talent and compensation strategies, Acera’s unique approach helps companies leverage worker skills to meet business demands and maximize business results. With talent scarcity increasing, organizations must build integrated approaches that ignite employee talents and create purposeful work. Rather than relying on external talent pools to solve skill gaps, organizations can create mechanisms and incentives for people to reskill and upskill. This means creating flexible and transparent career pathways that are more agile and responsive to the rapidly changing business environment. We help our clients connect the dots between talent and compensation strategies, linking them to positive business outcomes. This alignment creates clarity for employees about what the organization truly values. Through this widened lens, the organization can retain its people and chart new avenues of possibility that lead to business growth. Organizations can proactively establish pay strategies that recognize and reward skill development and organizational impact, encouraging employees to proactively reskill. This includes creating compensation plans that motivate employees to continually enhance their capabilities and align career progression with the organization's evolving needs. By integrating talent strategies with forward-looking compensation strategies, organizations foster a culture of growth and agility to meet business demands and maximize business results. Our team consists of experts across a diverse range of talent and compensation consulting. To supercharge our team's effectiveness, we enhance our projects with leaders in change management, strategic communication, project management, and client service.

? What is Your Purpose? ? This question was the heart of our evening with Richard Leider on Wednesday. Through his moving stories and decades of work on purpose, Richard inspired us to reflect deeply on what drives us. He also equipped us with practical ways to ignite our gifts and live with more curiosity, courage, and choice in alignment with our purpose. What’s the secret formula? ?? Gifts + Passions + Values = Our Calling ?? Living with purpose isn’t just about personal fulfillment or the positive impact we have on others—it’s also a powerful contributor to our health and longevity. A growing body of research ?? highlights the connection between purpose and improved physical and mental well-being, and even longevity! A 2024 study by the American Psychological Association found that having a higher sense of purpose—not just life satisfaction—was strongly associated with a reduced risk of early death. ?? The evidence is strong: living with purpose enhances not only the quality of our lives but also how long we get to live them. ?? Richard also emphasized that purpose is for everyone, at every age and stage of life. This was reflected in our diverse audience—a broad mix of educators, students??, healthcare providers, retirees, and leaders from some of Colorado’s biggest businesses and community organizations. I was encouraged by the enthusiasm to share this powerful content with others. Several business leaders went above and beyond, bringing their entire teams to the event. Among them was Lisa Jacoba, CHRO at Global Medical Response, who invited her senior HR leaders to experience the session together. This kind of leadership—supporting employees in aligning their life’s purpose with their daily work—embodies the impact that Acera Partners hopes to inspire! As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday ??, here’s to embracing purpose and helping others discover theirs! ?? Acera Partners is proud to have hosted such an impactful event across such a broad community. Thank you to Chris Cappy from Pilot Consulting for his close partnership in helping us bring Richard to Denver. Thank you also to Kristina Scala and her team at Aspen Academy for hosting us in their beautiful space.

It may surprise you to learn that despite high-profile job cuts and economic concerns, nearly half (46%) of professionals are considering quitting — higher than the 40% who said the same ahead of 2021's great resignation, according to new research from Microsoft and LinkedIn, which surveyed more than 30,000 people in 31 countries between February and March 2024. And when they leave, many aren't going quietly. They are capturing it on video and sharing it widely on TikTok, damaging company reputation as they leave. A trend known as #QuitTok. At the heart of this problem is wide-ranging worker disengagement. A recent Gallup poll found that only?one-third of U.S. employees?are currently engaged in their work. And according to The Conference Board, this disengagement contributes to, on average,?$500 billion worth of losses?annually. But here's the good news. It can be staved off with investment in training and skills development. A recent survey by Devlin Peck found that?nearly half of workers?polled said they would be more likely to stay at their current jobs if their employer offered more training. Much of employee malaise stems from concern over the ongoing disruption of work as technology, particularly generative AI, changes the skills required in roles and organizations. Read more about how you can enhance employee engagement and retention by taking a pragmatic approach to a skills-first talent and pay strategy in Acera Partners' blog on the #ReskillingRevolution. #SkillsStrategy #TalentAgility https://lnkd.in/gy3raE6y

With the #FederalTradeCommissions' decision to essentially eliminate #NonCompetes, the handcuffs are off! Organizations can no longer restrict employees from working elsewhere within their profession or areas of expertise, even with direct competitors. This is yet another market shift giving employees more choice and control over their careers. While this is a scary change for some companies who've relied on non-competes, the research shows freeing up talent is better for organizations' productivity and innovation - a significant competitive advantage. Rather than locking in employees (including low performers, by the way), organizations need to encourage their best people to stay - through their own free will. What a novel concept! For employees to choose to stay with your organization, they need to see a path for growth in both their career AND their pay. In Acera Partners' latest blog below, we overview three key strategies for integrating career and pay paths for employees to grow with your organization, not with your competition. This is our work in the world! ?? #TalentStrategy #CompensationStrategy #EmployeeAgency #AceraPartners

?? Exciting News Alert! ?? Did you know that up to 30% of employees, spanning roles from baristas to the C-suite, have been tied down by non-compete agreements? But that's all changing. The recent decision by the Federal Trade Commission has sparked a monumental shift to essentially eliminate non-compete contracts, liberating a significant portion of the workforce from these once-standard agreements. While some may perceive this change as a threat, we at Acera Partners see it as an extraordinary opportunity for transformation. By hindering employees from exploring new opportunities, non-competes also limit organizational growth. Without these restrictions, companies can break free from their own constraints. So, what's the game plan? It's time to cultivate an environment where talent chooses to stay and grow with your organization. In our latest blog post, we unveil three strategies to empower your people with a path for both career and pay progression. These strategies not only retain top performers but also attract fresh talent, now unrestricted by non-compete agreements. Seize the moment to redefine success and unlock the full potential of your organization. Last week Delta Air Lines announced that it is raising the minimum starting wage to $19 an hour with an additional 5% pay raise across the company. This follows a massive $1.4 billion profit sharing payout that Delta made to its employees in February. Through industry smashing profit sharing payouts and wage increases, which average an 85% lift in base salaries over the past 15 years, Delta is rewarding its people for making it the most awarded airline in America. Delta’s CEO, Ed Bastian, said in a memo to all employees: “Delta’s leading position comes thanks to a simple concept that dates back nearly a century – invest in our people first, and they will deliver great service and experiences for our customers.” In a Fortune article, Kelley Elliott, Delta’s VP of Total Rewards, reinforces that Delta’s profit-sharing plan is creating a “virtuous cycle” between strong business performance and worker satisfaction. Research supports that profit-sharing plans increase employee productivity, satisfaction, and motivation while helping to reduce worker turnover and increase profits for the organization. Delta recognizes that to retain great people, it takes more than financial incentives. Employees also need to feel like they are continuing to grow and advance professionally. In Acera Partners' whitepaper, "6 Best Practices from Delta Air Lines’ Skills-First Journey," we explore how Delta is using a “skills-first” approach to remove barriers to professional development and career growth, especially for frontline employees. With a focus on skills mobility, Delta is dismantling the traditional hierarchical job ladder and embracing a dynamic, skills-centric job model that is tied directly to market salary data. By integrating skills-focused career pathways with industry-leading total compensation plans, Delta is fostering career and pay progression to drive customer care and business growth. The airline is modeling the mission of Acera Partners’ work in the world, which inspires us every day! To learn more about Delta’s approach, you can read Acera's whitepaper below and check out the News Hub on Delta Air Lines' site. Are you tired of a one-size fits all approach to in-office mandates? You're not alone. Companies are citing connection and collaboration as the key reasons for calling everyone back to the office - five days a week. But the reality is that employees are working alone and drowning in Zoom calls 45 minutes from home. A one-size-fits-all policy won't cut through this paradox. With a staggering 98% of employees craving a hybrid model, they are longing for a more balanced approach. In our latest blog, we delve into a smarter return-to-work strategy that focuses on how work gets done, which has nothing to do with it being a Monday or a Tuesday. Say goodbye to the peanut butter spread approach and hello to a more intentional in-office strategy. Check out Acera Partners' latest blog below and join the conversation on the #FutureOfWork. #Engagement #ReturnToWork #TalentStrategy #HybridModel #Productivity #AceraPartners https://lnkd.in/g6SzrqDw
