Join us on Wednesday, April 22nd for a briefing on President Trump’s First 100 Days President Trump and congressional leaders have established an ambitious legislative agenda in 2025 built around tax reform, immigration, energy, regulatory streamlining and other priorities that will impact engineering businesses and markets. As the new Administration hits 100-day mark of the Trump presidency, ACEC’s advocacy team will review progress to date, provide insights on the path forward, and what it means for the engineering industry. The briefing may also provide a preview of the industry’s lobbying effort during the Annual Convention May 18-21, 2025 where hundreds of ACEC’s “citizen lobbyists” will engage lawmakers directly on tax and other policies critical to the industry. Vigor Shipyards, Inc.’s Southwest Yard Restoration Project on Harbor Island, Seattle, built by KPFF Consulting Engineers, Floyd|Snider & Vigor, LLC for the Vigor Shipyards has won an Honor Award in ACEC's Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA). They will be presented with the award at the EEA Gala on May 20, 2025. The engineers transformed the area into an integrated off-channel marsh, intertidal, and riparian habitat that will help support recovery of injured aquatic resources and provide a natural refuge in the heart of an industrial area. The habitat is now in full use by its intended schools of fish, shorebirds, and other nearshore and marine life. The project also provided new, reconfigured piers, that features access bridges allowing for full use of the drydock across more than 18 feet of tidal change.
