The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) is the business association of Texas engineering firms. The organization is committed to advancing the private practice of consulting engineering, enhancing markets for private engineering services, educating the public on the importance of infrastructure investment, and promoting sound business practices within the industry and its client base. We are committed to aggressive involvement in legislative and public sector decision-making, with a focus on protection of qualifications-based selection of engineering services, transportation and water resources investment, expanded project delivery options, and appropriate legal and liability systems affecting the industry. The ACEC San Antonio Chapter is comprised of 99 member companies representing civil, geotechnical, structural and MEP engineering firms in Bexar, Atascosa, Blanco, Comal, Guadalupe, and Kendall Counties. We provide a forum for the interchange of ideas, a source of technical information and expertise, and a political voice for engineering interests in the San Antonio metropolitan region.

Every year, the ACEC San Antonio Chapter teams up with the City of San Antonio Public Works Department to organize the Capital Improvements Design & Construction Seminar, a half day packed with discussions that impact the growth and infrastructure of our beautiful city. This year's seminar was the largest one yet, with a sold-out room of over 450 design engineers and public entity partners from the City of San Antonio, San Antonio Water System, San Antonio River Authority, and others. It was a successful day full of topics affecting our community - the progress of the 2022 Bond Program, effective vs. regulatory flood plains, an update from VIA Metropolitan Transit's new President & CEO, an informative panel of city leaders and engineering consultants on collaboration, special guests from Brooks and Port San Antonio speaking about the booming growth on the city's southside, a fun hour of "Ethics Jeopardy", and the Infrastructure Management Program. CrossGroup was proud to facilitate the full-day, interactive workshop Building Win-Win Partnerships With Negotiation in San Antonio on January 17. Thirty representatives from San Antonio Water System and American Council of Engineering Companies - San Antonio joined us to practice preparation, creating value, finding solutions, and ensuring follow-through: steps that ensure win-win agreements and long-term, trusting partnerships.
