We were just alerted by ACEC National that Senate Majority Leader Schumer intends to bring up HR 7024 for a procedural vote this week, likely on Thursday but the situation is still very fluid. This is a political vote designed to put Senators on record before the election and we have not seen any movement from Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Mike Crapo (R-ID) or other Senate Republicans who are deferring to his concerns about the child tax credit language. This is still an important moment and ACEC will relaunch our action alert in the morning. Please keep an eye out for that email and use the system to ask your Senators to support moving forward with HR 7024. Many thanks – #ACECNational #SenateMajorityLeader #HR7024 #SenateFinanceCommittee #SupportHR7024

ACEC of Wyoming invites you to another virtual installment of our Lunch and Learn Series. Mr. Josh Oakleaf, CERP of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) Abandoned Mine Land (AML) Division will be presenting on Wyoming Strategic Sage-Grouse Habitat Reclamation & Restoration Guide (SGHRR). This presentation will take place May 8th at 12 noon MDT. (Dial in by phone at +1 307-314-3228, 438039148# United States. ) In 2019, the Wyoming Sage-Grouse Core Area Management Strategy was seized upon by AML and bolstered by Governor Gordon. This has been a collaborative effort to enhance sage-grouse habitat and hopefully eradicate the need for the species to be listed under the Endangered Species Act. Such a listing would be detrimental to many industries in Wyoming. #ACECWyoming #WyomingEnvironment #SageGrouseHabitat #HabitatRestoration #EndangeredSpecies
