One year ago on #InternationalWomensDay, we launched IgniteHER—a program designed to spark peer mentorship, advocacy, and career advancement opportunities for women at accesso and beyond. Since then, we’ve introduced Lean In Circles, uniting 70+ women in small groups each month to share experiences, foster mentorship, and grow as leaders. We’re also proud to have collaborated with Technovation this year, a global nonprofit empowering girls to become leaders and problem-solvers through tech. This year, 30+ accesso employees dedicated their VTO and expertise to support their mission. And we’re just getting started. ?? It’s not often that we take a moment to publicly express our gratitude to those who have significantly influenced our lives. Today, I’d like to acknowledge someone who has made a tremendous impact on my journey. Many years ago, I had the pleasure of connecting with Josh Klein while networking on LinkedIn. At the time, I was navigating the music and concert industry, eager to transition into the world of sports. As many know, the sports business was (and still is) predominantly a male-dominated field, and I knew the road ahead wouldn’t be easy. Josh stepped in as a mentor, always encouraging me to persevere and generously sharing invaluable insights along the way. Today we spotlight Emily Myers, another accesso ShoWare customer support rockstar ??. Let's get to know Emily! How did you get into the industry? I earned my undergraduate degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management from Temple University (#templemade) with the intention of pursuing a service-oriented career. My interests are broad, so I've welcomed new opportunities as they've come my way—and fortunately, it has worked out well! My previous company used ShoWare for their ticketing services, so I was a user and familiar with the software. I believe that experience, combined with my current role as a CSM, gives me valuable insight into how to best support our clients. If you could work at any client location for a week, where would it be and why? I’d love the opportunity to work alongside any of our clients and see them in action during a show or event.? But if I had to choose, working at the State Fair of Texas?. ?It's the perfect mix of working hard and having fun. You are surrounded by fair food, rides, games, and crowds of people just there to enjoy themselves (fairgoers and employees), so it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement!
