We have known WelcoMe by Neatebox since 2016. Awards, recognition and results are here today. Follow this Scottish company on social media for inspiration and solutions. We called it a customer services revolution. Read more on our website here: https://lnkd.in/eEmRSFRf
Imagine a world where just booking to go somewhere triggers training on how to best meet your needs when you arrive? It seems pretty simple really. Restaurants, doctors surgeries, job interviews, leisure centres, cinemas, theatres, events, dental surgeries, retailers, vet practices, airports, ferry terminals, banking and even meeting your Member of Parliament or voting could all be improved dramatically if staff knew who was about to arrive and how best to help them. ..and we don't even mean because it's the "right thing to do". We mean, because it makes you more effective and efficient and safer and welcoming and improves customer retention and heaven forbid, staff moral, and yes, where you are making money from each visitor, even more profitable. Imagine being able to do this NOW! Imagine that you could actively engage with a solution that could deliver this tomorrow! How awesome would that be? Check out this example of what's possible at Currys plc and imagine it ANYWHERE. Thanks LOADS. WelcoMe #Tech4Good #RethinkRetail #NHSDigital #Hospitality #Innovation #Dentist #Vets #Voting #Travel #inclusion #StaffTraining #Access4All... everywhere, forever. NB, imagine just saying "hey Alexa, book me a hairdressing appointment and it not only booking the appointment, but also triggering disability awareness training". Yes this stuff excites us too.

A wheelchair-accessible, ocean-view alternative to the Camino de Santiago ?????? Just recently, one of my team members travelled all the way from the Canaries to Portugal to do the Camino de Santiago. Hearing her rave about the stunning coastal scenery and the experience of walking long distances through ever-changing landscapes made me realise just how unique, even magical, that kind of journey can be. So, why not find an accessible alternative here in Lanzarote? As it turns out, I didn’t have to look far. Starting just minutes from your accommodation in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote boasts one of the world’s longest pedestrian walks at 26 km! The path has a dedicated red lane for cyclists, while the other two lanes are perfect for pedestrians, manual and power wheelchairs, and mobility scooters. Around 90% of the route runs along the coast, lined with shops, bars, and restaurants where you can take a break. LanzAbility has partnered with selected accessible spots, which not only offer excellent service but also have wheelchair-friendly facilities and allow power wheelchairs to be recharged. So, if you’re in the mood for a bit of a wander, why not create your own ‘Camino de Lanzarote’? 26 km in total—perhaps a few kilometres each day, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy some good food along the way. Go solo or with a companion. Fresh sea air, endless ocean views… and who knows, you might just meet some interesting folks along the route! Oh, and don’t forget your sun protection—we’ve got enough sunburned crabs around here as it is! ?? #CaminodeLanzarote #AccessiblePedestrianWalk #26km #wheelchair #Lanzarote #LanzAbility

#accessibletravelnews California, USA
A hidden gem in Visit Santa Cruz County is now more accessible to visitors with disabilities, thanks to a $1.4 million renovation of the area’s trails. Antonelli Pond in Santa Cruz,?California, has been a beloved spot for bird watchers, dog walkers, recreational anglers, and outdoor explorers for over 100 years. The picturesque man-made pond now has accessible and ADA-compliant picnic benches, terraced banking, pond overlook, interpretive signs, and pollinator gardens. Wheelchair accessible trails line each side of the pond, connected to the ADA trails at Natural Bridges State Beach and to the nearby Seymour Marine Discovery Center. Wildlife enthusiasts will want to make a beeline for the pollinator gardens, lush with California native plants that attract bird species – especially the Dusty Warbler, which calls Antonelli Pond home. It’s a rare sight to behold, but with the upgrades, everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy it. https://lnkd.in/gHHDyg-r Foster Andersen

Toegankelijkheid, in 2024, is nog steeds niet vanzelfsprekend. In feite is elke dag #idpwd. De eerste stap is altijd bewustwording. De tweede stap inventariseren wat nodig is. Derde stap is uitvoeren. Vierde stap aan iedereen vertellen wat er bereikt is. Positief nieuws is verpletterend goed. Laten we daar meer van horen. Wat doe jij op 3 december?
3 December - International Day of People with Disabilities #idpwd is not owned by the UN – it is owned by everyone: people, organisations, agencies, charities, places of learning – all of whom have a vital role to play in identifying and addressing discrimination, marginalization, exclusion and inaccessibility that many people living with disabilities face. https://lnkd.in/gm2mcaku
