OUR MISSION To provide sustainable programs that generate positive change for Nigerian children and their communities. OUR VISION The vision of A2S is that each child/person in Nigeria finds a dignified path to a successful life and is empowered to live out God’s plan for a future filled with hope. Essential to communities being lifted out of poverty are holistic programs that address the physical, spiritual and psychological needs of currently struggling communities. A2S envisions communities in which individuals can be productive members of society, living with mutual respect and love for one another. The vision of the After School Academy is to transform and empower the lives of Nigerian children through academics and athletics, increasing the percentage of students who achieve higher levels of education and thereby reducing poverty in Nigeria. We believe education, leadership and teamwork skills, faith, and community and family support are critical to helping young people achieve their goals. A2S envisions a future where socioeconomic status does not prevent a child from attending school. We aim to create long-term, sustainable growth by working in communities with local support. Our ministry was founded on the premise that everyone should have an opportunity to dream, irrespective of location.

Thank you to Storyhill Church and friends for coming out for A2S's 2025 Packing Day! It is unreal to reflect how we've been shipping supplies to Nigeria for 15 years now and how many programs have grown since then! Uche shared with us how she received her first pair of shoes in Nigeria from an A2S packing day nearly 10 years ago, and now she is the one coordinating the packing days to ship supplies to Nigeria! Thank you to our friends at Storyhill for coming out on a Saturday morning to support us and everyone who came out to help us move units this week. And, thank you to Morningstar Storage who sponsored this amazing storage unit in Cornelius that is now neat and organized thanks to our volunteers!

Project Rise, our A2S scholars internship program in Nigeria, kicked off this year's events with a meet and greet for our 2025 class of interns on Friday, February 7th. The meet and greet allowed our scholars to connect one-on-one with their assigned partner organizations for the Project Rise and Skill Bridge internships and to discuss the plans and expectations for the year.
