If you haven't already seen, we have a list of Code Blue shelters across Montgomery and Bucks County where you can volunteer and support our community. Among those is Pottstown Beacon of Hope, who works closely with our team to support those we serve. Our unhoused neighbors need our community to come together and support solutions short and long-term. We hope that you have been inspired this week to learn how you can play a part! We're incredibly grateful for our dedicated Montgomery County Mobile Crisis team who work tirelessly to provide support to our community. Congratulations on this recognition of your efforts! We appreciate you all! ?? ?? ?? #strengtheningcommunities
We would like to extend our gratitude to the Whitpain Township Police Department for not only fully embracing our Mobile Crisis Program but advocating for its importance. In early October, Whitpain PD and our Mobile Crisis Team worked together to respond to a mental health crisis in the community. This partnership and quick-thinking showcase how collaboration can serve as a model for addressing mental health emergencies, fulfilling the very mission of the Mobile Crisis Program. The Montgomery County Mobile Crisis team offers: ??24/7 mental health crisis support ?A resource for law enforcement and agencies to address mental health questions ??A key role in a behavioral health continuum, from prevention to aftercare This program is part of Montgomery County’s ongoing commitment to behavioral health, reinforced by the recently approved $18 million Emergency Behavioral Crisis Center, which will provide critical support, crisis intervention, and stabilization services during mental health emergencies. Check out the Whitpain Township Board of Supervisors Meeting for details on this collaboration. Start around the 4:30 mark, ending around the 17:00 mark. https://lnkd.in/duqfCMUt
