The Accelerated Team sends out a special thanks to those who served this country with honor and distinction. Each man and woman who chose to step up and defend what we hold dear, is a testament to the will of what it means to be American. These days I think that meaning of respect for that sacrifice given gets lost in the culture... During my service to this country, I think the turning point for me was when my tags were explained to me? Each person who serves is issued a set of metal tags (referred to as dog tags). One on a long chain and one on a shorter chain. The one on the long chain gets placed between your teeth and the short one goes around your toe! Now as you let that sink in, remember to honor these men and women who knew going in this could be the outcome. And yet they still stepped up... for you and me! It's that time of the year where the streets will be filled with children getting to enjoy the fun of dressing up as anything they want, going house to house and asking their neighbors for treats! As the day winds down here at work and employees return home to go out with their children, we want everyone to have a safe and Happy Halloween! ...Save a piece of candy for me!

Hurricane Helene Updates! Helene has been downgraded to a tropical depression and is currently over the Western Kentucky region. We have stations that were directly in the path of the storm and the outlying regions that are reporting in: - Charlotte Terminal (CLT) is currently without power, communications will be limited until conditions improve... - Charleston Terminal (CHS) is experiencing High winds and flooding in the area, periodic power outages, downed trees, and multiple tonado warnings; we are continuing to monitor the operations today... - Nashville Terminal (BNA) is fully operational... - Atlanta Terminal (ATL) is fully operational... - Orlando Terminal (MCO) is fully operational... We are asking everyone to stay calm and be prepared for potential delays in serviceable areas, we will continue to keeps trucks rolling into all reasonable conditions. We will continue to update our site as conditions change and to relay any service outages that may occur due to the weather pattern. We would like to offer our sympathies and condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones during the storm.

Accelerated stands today in reverence to honor all those we lost that terrible day. The day where an entire nation stopped and in one voice cried out. As I stood watching in disbelief... I was working on a computer in a call center in Northern Kentucky, when suddenly the lady next to me screamed and collapsed to the floor crying, as I raced to help her up, she grabbed me in an embrace crying on my shoulder. She was on the phone with her husband who was in the North Tower, and the last words she heard before she was cut off was "Honey they are saying a plane just hit our building, I have to go, I love you". The company I was with had an office in the North Tower, we lost friends and co-workers that day. Where were you when the towers fell? Accelerated Inc. asks all Americans to join us in giving thanks all of the first responders who raced to the aid of those in need.

Labor Day marks the beggining of the march to the end of 2024! The seasons are changing and the holidays are just around the corner! We take this time to reflect on the effort our employees put forth for their families, our customers, and their company.
