Being a 21 year old college student looking to step into the Commercial Real Estate industry, I have learned that there are a plethora of paths to bring you up within the industry and with the help of my mentor (better known as my friend) John Laine, I have learned there are EVEN MORE PATH’S! What was your first step in the industry and if you could go back, what would you have done differently? __________________________________________________________________________________ With today starting the 10-day challenge created by Yonah Weiss, I figured I would introduce myself to the community and begin to build my educated background of connections (I’m sure this will be quite different than most). -I am a 21-year-old college student studying Finance at the Rawls College of Business here at Texas Tech and am currently an active member of the TTU Real Estate Organization which has provided me with great opportunities to learn and connect with experienced individuals from all aspects of the industry. -Since the age of 12 I have been traveling, competing semi-professionally for sports teams based out of Texas, California, Toronto, Florida, the Midwest, and Currently Missouri. These experiences developed me into who I am today and allows me to be confident in understanding and connecting with people on a personal level since I have competed/lived with people from all walks of life. -With guidance from my mentor John Laine (hilarious story of how we connected coming soon), I am currently in the process of obtaining my first multi-family property and plan on turning it into college housing when secured. -Growing up alongside my friend Jack Marcus in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, we witnessed the dynamic transformation of our surroundings. As the city expanded and evolved, so did our shared fascination for the intricate interplay of urban development.
