We had a great time attending the annual State of the Parish luncheon, sponsored by the #AcadiaParishChamberofCommerce! It was a wonderful opportunity for the #AcadiaParishPoliceJury to provide updates to our citizens and business leaders. ?? In the first picture, you can see our amazing speakers for the event. From left to right, we have KP Gibson (Acadia Parish Sheriff), Scott Richard (Acadia Parish School Board Superintendent), Beau Petitjean (Acadia Parish Police Jury President), and Elizabeth Miller (Acadia Parish Chamber Director). ?? The second picture shows our dedicated staff members who also attended the luncheon. The Acadia Parish Police Jury is currently inviting applications for a position as an Animal Control Employee. Candidates should feel comfortable working with animals that may exhibit unpredictable behavior, including those with medical issues or aggressive tendencies. Roles and Responsibilities include: ?? Thorough daily cleaning of all animal areas, including floors, dishes, bedding, etc. ?? Providing food to the animals. ?? Socializing and grooming the animals. ?? Acting as a substitute in various areas and undertaking additional tasks as required. ?? Responding to reports of stray dogs and cats, dog bites, and aggressive animals. ?? Demonstrating respectful treatment towards both people and animals to enhance public relations. ??
