Thanks so much to you, J. Betty Feng, PhD, for raising awareness and highlighting the importance of #AI for #education around the globe! #technology #learning #internationalbusiness
Returned from the #2024AIBNE Conference at Suffolk University, Boston, and feeling energized by the inspiring conversations and innovative ideas shared throughout the event. The theme, Global Connection & Artificial Intelligence, couldn’t have been more timely. One of the key highlights was Raj Choudhury’s thought-provoking keynote on Work From Anywhere & AI: The New Geography of Work. His insights into how AI is reshaping global work dynamics were eye-opening, offering a fresh perspective on the future of remote work and technology. Shoutout to my wonderful collaborators Joyce Wallence, Jun Li and Ying (Cathy) Zheng! As part of initiatives of Academy of International Business (AIB) Teaching & Education SIG, we hosted two Teaching Cafés that sparked engaging dialogue on integrating #AI into teaching and learning, as well as the scholarship of teaching and learning (#SoTL) in #InternationalBusiness #Education. It was so wonderful to exchange ideas with educators from other institutions on how to enrich educational research and practices to incorporate AI tools into the classroom. On a personal note, I had a wonderful time of running at Boston Common with local high school students in a 5K event for #GenderEquity, enjoying the beautiful park and vibrant fall colors of Boston! #AIBNE2024 #GlobalConnections #ArtificialIntelligence #HigherEd #TeachingAndLearning #research #Networking #Boston

Well done J. Betty Feng, PhD and Narentheren Kaliappen on your T&E Track Special Panel.
At our Teaching & Education Track Special panel, Narentheren Kaliappen and I had the pleasure of discussing the value and impact of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (#SoTL). We are grateful for our esteemed panel of speakers who shared their expertise and insights on researching and publishing in this vital area of our profession: - Clarice Secches Kogut, Teaching cases enthusiast and two times nominee for best paper in Teaching track - Jennifer S. A. Leigh, Co-Editor of the Journal of Management Education (JME) - Barbara Larson, Associate Editor of Academy of Management Learning and Education (AMLE) - Yinglu Wu, Managing Editor of the Journal of Teaching in International Business (JTIB) #SoTL often receives less attention and recognition, yet it is a crucial aspect of our roles as higher education educators. We hope to continue promoting these efforts to call for more scholarships for this important work. AIB Teaching & Education Special Interest Group #scholarship #teaching #learning #eduction
