The Cost of Bad UX: Citi’s $81 Trillion Blunder Citigroup mistakenly credited $81 trillion (instead of $280) to a customer account in April 2024—a “near miss” reversed hours later, per CBS News and Reuters. What do you think is the root cause? A clunky #userinterface and #human error, missed by two employees before a third caught it after 90 minutes. This isn’t the first time for Citi as it reported 13 “near misses” of $1B+ in 2023, 10 in 2024, and now this in 2025—highlighting persistent UX and control issues and that's not the only bank. Truth be told and this is could be your turning point.1st copy-pasting someone else’s style won’t showcase your unique value. N E V E R! Your CV and portfolio should be a true reflection of YOU—your skills, your impact, the problems you solved (even as a member of the team) and the journey that made you successful. Hiring managers don’t just look for designers; they look for original thinkers and problem solvers.
