We had such a wonderful time at the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center Yes Day for Autism this last Saturday at Tempe Beach Park! Our team enjoyed participating in the 1-mile family friendly walk alongside Tempe Town Lake as well as meeting so many families and sharing information about our respite care, habilitation, and attendant care services. We want to send a special thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to spin our wheel and win a fun prize! We loved seeing so many big smiles on so many beautiful faces. This last Saturday, a few of our staff members attended the Northern Arizona Disability Resource Fair put on by The Institute for Human Development Development (IHD) in collaboration with Care 4 The Caregivers at Northern Arizona University! It was so amazing to see so many exhibitors come out to feature such a wide range of disability resources and support systems. We loved the opportunity to network with our northern Arizona community! This last Saturday, a few members from our admin staff gathered at Culinary Dropout in Gilbert with several providers and parent providers to celebrate all they do for our community! This provider party allowed us to show all of our providers how much we truly appreciate the hard work they put in every day to care for Absolute HCBS members. We were thrilled that this event allowed us to meet our providers face to face and we were able to show them how much they are truly valued to us! We absolutely loved attending and sponsoring the first - ever Mikey's League All Inclusive Summer Kickoff Event at Basha High School in Chandler this last Saturday! Thank you so much Mikey’s League for putting on this amazing event. It was so great seeing children of all ages and abilities come together to have some fun in the sun! We also want to give a special thank you to all of the NFL Arizona Cardinals players that came out to support the event. We know the athletes loved meeting all of you, and so many of them walked away smiling with autographs on t-shirts and hats that they can cherish forever. Absolute HCBS is currently in the process of bringing a Bilingual EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) Manager onto our team. We are excited about expanding our organization and hope to find a passionate, enthusiastic individual to fill this position. The EVV Manager provides oversight and manages the EVV coordinators and ATC monitors. This includes assisting and supporting management teams with Electronic Visit Verification related tasks and processes. Absolute HCBS is honored to have been recognized by the AZ Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) today at their Volunteer Luncheon in Phoenix for our contribution to their Holiday Gifts From the Heart Program this last December. We absolutely loved supporting DDD families in need during the holiday season, and we always look forward to giving back to our community each and every year. Thank you to DDD for allowing us to participate in such an amazing outreach program that allows families the opportunity to receive gifts they both want and need during the holidays.
