In anticipation for Frieze LA opening on Feb 20th, Frieze recently interviewed Edwin CHAN about art, museums, and life. One of the world's most iconic buildings designed to fulfill the goals of the city and institution, last month Our Culture magazine reported that 1.3 million people visited the museum in #Spain's Basque Country in 2024. "According to their geographical origin, there were more foreign visitors (67% of the total) compared to last year, with #France (16%), #Germany (8%), #GreatBritain (7%), the #UnitedStates (6%) and #Italy (5%)." Creating short-term hits for long-term gains for design teams and clients alike, the development firm's founder went on to join the board for the prize that was established by the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2012.? ? This year's MCHAP has another Detroit connection with the former City of Detroit Director of Planning Maurice Cox serving as the jury chair.? In Detroit, The Canopy and its colorful contributions are the latest residential project by architecture practice EC3. The firm worked with local developer and landscape firm Prince Concepts and Studio Detroit on the development, which was influenced by Mies van der Rohe’s Detroit townhouses at Lafayette Park and Albert Kahn’s Continental Motors plant. https://ow.ly/WFA450UO9JL
