On February 26, AbleLight employees and people we support joined Starling member organizations at the Missouri State Capitol for a Disability Rights Legislative Day. Under the theme "We Are Here," we rallied for Medicaid Long-Term Supports and Services, which are essential for people with developmental disabilities to live independently and thrive. We met with legislators, shared personal stories, and reinforced the urgent need to protect funding for housing, employment supports, and other vital care. AbleLight remains committed to the voices of people with developmental disabilities and will continue to advocate for policies that prioritize their needs and dignity.
