On February 26, AbleLight employees and people we support joined Starling member organizations at the Missouri State Capitol for a Disability Rights Legislative Day. Under the theme "We Are Here," we rallied for Medicaid Long-Term Supports and Services, which are essential for people with developmental disabilities to live independently and thrive. We met with legislators, shared personal stories, and reinforced the urgent need to protect funding for housing, employment supports, and other vital care. AbleLight remains committed to the voices of people with developmental disabilities and will continue to advocate for policies that prioritize their needs and dignity. ?? Looking for a meaningful career in Minnesota? AbleLight will be attending a hiring event at the Anoka County Job Training Center on Wednesday, February 19 from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM! Attendees will be able to chat with our team, ask questions, and learn more about our open roles. Current open roles include Direct Support Professionals and Individualized Home Support Workers. The event takes place at 1201 89th Ave NE, Blaine MN. We hope to see you there!
