We’re excited to be a part of the Buena Vida community team set for a major transformation, thanks to a $56.4 million award in Housing Tax Credits from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. This funding will enable the construction of 212 affordable housing units, ensuring our community continues to thrive. This incredible milestone was achieved through the collective efforts of many dedicated partners: Brownsville Housing Opportunity Corporation (BHOC), Housing Authority of the City of Brownsville (HACB), Versa Development, LLC, Friendship of Women, Inc., and Able City. Together, we’re not just building housing—we’re building a stronger, more connected community. ?? Congratulations to everyone involved, especially the residents and community stakeholders who helped shape the vision through the Buena Vida HUD Choice Neighborhood Transformation Plan. This is more than a project; it’s a commitment to the future of Brownsville. Want to know more about? Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/dqiwCTQP ??
