Ability Central is proud to recognize National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Celebrated every October, NDEAM is an opportunity to raise awareness about the value of an inclusive workplace and to encourage employers to make accessibility a priority. This observance highlights the importance of creating workplaces where all individuals, regardless of disability, have equal opportunities to thrive. Only 7.7% of disabled people working in philanthropy feel comfortable being open about their disabilities at work, according to CHANGE Philanthropy's 2022 Diversity Among Philanthropic Professionals Report. With an estimated 23.1% of people with disabilities working in philanthropy, it's vital for philanthropy to create supportive, accessible, and flexible environments where disabled employees feel comfortable disclosing. I learned a lot at #Dreamforce24. Some key takeaways for me were: Salesforce is committed to #accessibility and including people with disabilities. There's a lot of potential for #Agentforce to improve the UX and make tasks easier. I'm excited to see what comes next

We're wrapping up our presentation at Dreamforce. Craig Warren shared his journey from music therapy to Salesforce admin with Ability Central, overcoming accessibility barriers along the way. He recognized Salesforce for improvements like auto-layout, empowering professionals with disabilities to build automations independently. Craig also gave a live demo of Gearset’s deployment tool, which he helped make more accessible. A key message? "We’re seeing progress, but accessibility is a journey."
