As our region continues to recover from the impact of Hurricane #Helene, we want to take a moment to recognize the heroic caregivers from Abide Home Care who went above and beyond for their clients. These incredible caregivers braved the storm, loss of power and water, and made sacrifices—even for their own families—to ensure their clients were cared for. Though this isn’t an exhaustive list of everyone who stepped up during the storm, these are just a few of the faces who showed up despite no clock-ins, no electricity, and no running water. Margaret Morton, Abide Home Care's Senior Director of Operations, is beginning her 7th year serving on the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association! ? After the devastating loss of her mother in September 2016 to Alzheimer's Disease, Margaret was deeply moved by the care given to her mother and her family. Feeling led to help other families coping with this disease, Margaret embarked on new career in home care. Throughout her career with Abide, Margaret has remained dedicated to the fight to find a cure for Alzheimers! ?? This weekend, Margaret had the honor of attending the Georgia Board Retreat Dinner. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow board members, exchange ideas, and discuss their strategies for the upcoming year.
