Congratulations to ABF city drivers Chuck Smetzer, John Tiedemann and Thomas Fischer on being recognized for achieving 75,000 consecutive hours behind the wheel without a preventable accident. They have made company history as the first recipients of the Diamond Safe-Driving Award. ABF drivers are known for being the best of the best, and these three have set the bar. Well done, guys! ArcBest President, Seth Runser, ABF Freight President, Matt Godfrey and many other leaders and employees helped honor these three during a special ceremony. ABF Freight Road Driver and America's Road Team Captain, Dave Hedicker, has trained alongside other drivers to identify the warning signs of human trafficking. ABF is proud to partner with TAT Nonprofit and offers ongoing education for our professional drivers. Thank you for your bravery, Dave! We are incredibly proud of you!

“Every day, I look forward to coming to work and hope to spend many years with this great team who is always willing to help one another. I have been with ABF Freight for almost a year as the clerk at our ABF Colorado Springs, CO service center. When a friend told me that ABF was hiring, I thought I would try it. I am so thankful to our terminal manager, Matt Parrish, who took a chance on me. Based on my experience with a different freight company, I realized ABF had much more to offer. I am constantly learning something new daily! My favorite part about my position is the opportunity to talk to different companies and customers we work with. It’s nice to hear feedback and go above and beyond to make their experience with us great. One of my favorite things about ABF is that they always provide learning opportunities. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my daughter, Danielle and our three dogs, Peanut, Bubba and Ollie. I love to share that our whole family graduated from the same high school. This week, the BNSF team visited onsite to present the award to ABF leadership. The team consisted of James Allison, Jerry Blair, Myron Copenhaver, John Holland, Kenneth House, Charles Middleton, Kenneth Pratt, Marion Stoddard, Clay Thelen, and John White. The ABF Freight Road Team program was established back in 1989.
