?? Protecting Our Waterways, One Data Point at a Time ?? Our ABES Engineering team is in the field, hard at work on the Shelby County Government MS4 project, gathering essential stormwater infrastructure data. By logging location, type, size, and other key details, we’re helping to create a more effective stormwater management system. Why does this matter? Better stormwater management = cleaner waterways + reduced flood risk. ??? When runoff is properly controlled, pollution in our streams, rivers, and lakes is minimized, creating a healthier environment for everyone. We’re proud to play a role in this critical initiative and to contribute to a cleaner, safer future for Shelby County and beyond. #ABESEngineering #StormwaterManagement #MS4 #CleanWater #Infrastructure

Music is such an important aspect of Memphis. It's part of our history and most definitely a part of our future. And we're thrilled that a strategy is in place to make us "the world's most vibrant music city." #Memphismusic #memphis
Bio: Memphis Mayor, Former President/CEO of Downtown Memphis Commission, Former Director of Memphis Housing & Community Development
What’s next for Memphis music??? Read first hand in my weekly newsletter! This week, I highlighted the Memphis Music Strategy Report, a roadmap to making Memphis the world’s most vibrant music city - one that honors our legacy while building for the future. The report makes it clear: we need a commitment to action, structure, and investment to ensure our artists, venues, and professionals have the tools they need to succeed. With 5,000+ local jobs and 1,148 music-related assets, our music industry is already a powerful economic driver but this is just the beginning. Created in partnership with Sound Diplomacy, Greater Memphis Chamber, Memphis Music Export and the City of Memphis - read it in full on how Memphis can lead the way in defining what a successful music city looks like today. ??read my latest newsletter: https://bit.ly/41CqxrR And if you’re not already signed up, stay in the know each week: ?? bit.ly/3DteJjK

?? A Transformational Project for Memphis – Regional One Health ?? Yesterday was an incredible day for our community, as we gathered with national and local engineers, architects, and general contractors to discuss the Regional One Health project. This iconic healthcare initiative has the potential to elevate Memphis, much like Vanderbilt Hospital did for Nashville, positioning our city as a leader in world-class healthcare services. Being in the same room with top national firms was truly inspirational—a reminder that one day, ABES Engineering and ABES Contracting will also operate at a national and international level. We hope to be part of this monumental project, contributing to the infrastructure that will serve our community for generations to come. A huge thank you to Allworld Project Management and Covalus for organizing this incredible meet and greet event, fostering collaboration between national and local firms. As Dr. Reginald Coopwood shared, this project is not just about a building—it’s about economic impact, local business growth, and ensuring Memphis-based firms have a seat at the table. This is more than just a hospital—it’s a catalyst for progress. Let’s build something great together! #RegionalOneHealth #MemphisGrowth #HealthcareInnovation #Infrastructure #EngineeringExcellence #ABESContracting #BuildingForTheFuture #Collaboration

Did you know that civil engineers created the slippery part of the water slide? That's right, civil engineers designed the pumping system to circulate the correct amount of water to the flume. They also designed the slide to withstand the weight of people, the water and the force of the wind that might blow on it. There you have it, today's #FridayFunFact. #Funfacts #civilengineering #waterslides
