ABC Keystone Chapter is sponsoring the Construction Hike for Hope through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Our “ABC Keystone Cares” team will hike the Memorial Lake Park in Grantville on Saturday, April 26. Through its partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, ABC provides construction workers and employers with resources including free suicide prevention training, the Suicide Prevention Lifeline call center, the Crisis Text Line, toolbox talks and speakers who can provide in-person, recorded and online education on suicide awareness, prevention and postvention. ABC Keystone's Apprenticeship training center is a state-of-the-art facility, with opportunities for hands-on learning across several construction industry disciplines, including assembler - pre-engineered buildings, carpentry, construction craft laborer, electrical, HVAC, heavy equipment operator, masonry, pipefitting, plumbing, and sheet metal. Students at ABC Keystone enjoy an “earn while you learn" approach, with on-the-job training combined with classroom instruction as they develop their craft, setting themselves up for success with in-demand, employable skills. A Chapter of the National Associated Builders & Contractors (D.C.), the Keystone Chapter was established in 1959, and is located in Rapho Business Park, Manheim, PA. We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership between ABC Keystone and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology! Cindy DeWire, Director of Apprenticeship, Randy Doxzon, Director of Workforce Development & Apprenticeship Resources, and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology recently celebrated the signing of a groundbreaking articulation agreement. This agreement will allow certain graduates of Thaddeus Stevens College to seamlessly transition into ABC Keystone's apprenticeship programs with advanced standing, either one or two years, depending on their degree or certificate.
