  • Meet Wainie Youn , Associate Vice President of Equity and Executive Office Operations at United Way of Central Maryland. She leads equity initiatives for over 200 employees and developed a comprehensive multi-year roadmap to advance equity across workplace culture, community impact, and diversity. Previously, Wainie served as Director of Advocacy for the Autism Society of America, where she coordinated efforts to drive legislative change for people with autism. A passionate advocate for social change, Wainie was named a Leader in Diversity by the Baltimore Business Journal in 2021. She holds a Master’s in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University, a Bachelor’s in African American Studies from Syracuse University, and a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of South Florida. Wainie is a member of the National Urban League and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
