How lucky are we to have had GINA Gaston Elie as a friend and co-worker for 30 years! Congrats, Gina!
The distorted-teary expression you'll notice on my face is my response to getting a trophy commemorating my 30 magical years with The Walt Disney Company at Channel 13 KTRK TV. I can't believe how blessed I've been to be able to tell my neighbors stories--good and bad--and to travel the world to inform, uplift, and inspire our viewers for three decades. I met my husband because I worked at Channel 13 and interviewed him during the Rockets first national championship run, and we raised our children here because I chose KTRK and KTRK chose me all of these years. Humbling. Many of you have been on the journey with me, and I THANK YOU!

We are heartbroken to share that former ABC13 anchor Chauncy Glover has passed away at the age of 39. Chauncy was part of our team for nearly 9 years before moving to California last year. Chauncy dedicated his time outside of ABC13 to helping young men understand and achieve their potential with his non-profit, The Chauncy Glover Project.

Catrinas, unite! Mayra Moreno had the pleasure of emceeing the 10th annual Death by Chocolate fundraising event again this year. The event is put on by the Morales Foundation and they raise money to give back to other nonprofit organizations in the East End/Second ward neighborhood. Mayra grew up in Segundo barrio and went to school in the Second Ward, so giving back to her barrio means the world to her.
