  • Our Sustainability Report 2024 is out! ?? For 20 years, we have delivered on our purpose of improving healthcare through better access to medicine. We are consistently growing and aim to increase our positive impact on society. Healthcare systems are under pressure, and we believe that our positive contribution relieves that pressure. However, with this growth, the negative impacts of our business and our industry are also increasing, such as the emissions and waste generated. This means that we need to take even more responsibility for our impact on the environment, society and corporate governance, not only in our own operations but also in our supply chain. In 2024, we sourced 63 percent renewable energy across the Abacus Medicine Group, increased our focus on ESG as we recognise the connection between ESG and business performance, and launched new global strategies that care of the people and culture in our workplace. These are just some of the highlights. In the Sustainability Report 2024, you will find more detailed information about our efforts, our view on sustainability, and our plans going forward. You can read the report through the link in the comments. #betteraccessbetterhealthcare #sustainability #healthcare #abacusmedicinegroup #pharma #renewable #esg #csrd

  • ?? A year of new records for the Abacus Medicine Group In 2024, we celebrated two decades of strong, organic growth. In our Annual Report 2024 this trend is reinforced, as we are more committed than ever to improve global access to medicine through better healthcare. Revenue grew 23% to EUR 1,487 million, EBITDA reached an all-time high of EUR 50.5 million and generated a strong free cash flow of EUR 26.4 million The group's revenue growth was driven by a combination of higher sales in both new and existing markets, as well as by the establishment of long-term partnerships. “Our financial robustness gives us a lot of strategic opportunities. In 2024, this allowed us to accelerate investments in our ambitious #Access26 strategy, with a particular focus on people and digital excellence. We are already seeing the impact, exemplified by the impressive growth of our wholesale business,” says CEO Flemming Wagner. To read more about these results, you can find our #AnnualReport in the comments section. #AnnualReport #2024 #AbacusMedicineGroup #BetterAccess #BetterHealthcare?

  • ?? A zebra-patterned workplace for Rare Disease Day Today, our colleagues across locations joined the #ShowYourStripes initiative in support for those living with rare diseases. ? On the rarest day of the year, February 28, we mark Rare Disease Day to raise awareness for the 300 million living with rare diseases worldwide. At Abacus Medicine Group, our rare disease efforts are centered around the work of our colleagues at Abacus Medicine Pharma Services, where we help patients gain better access to rare disease medicine in our markets through partnerships and collaboration. ? Why the stripes? The stripes come into play since the zebra is a symbol of rare diseases, representing uncommon diagnoses. This is due to a popular quote saying that ”When you hear hoofbeats behind you, think of horses, not zebras”, used to teach medical students to think of more commonly diagnosis when examining the symptoms of patients. The zebra symbol has gained popularity to raise awareness of rare diseases, reminding people that they’re not as rare as they seem. Patients, families, caregivers, advocates, and allies wear stripes on Rare Disease Day to show support and encourage others to #ThinkOfZebras!

  • - I hit the jackpot. I'm near the end of my working career, and I didn’t think a company like Abacus existed, but I am just lucky to be a part of this team. Werner Thury is one of our travelling sales representatives in Austria. From Vienna to Tyrol, the representatives are the face of Abacus Medicine. Their contact with our customers requires a personal approach that benefits both us and the pharmacies. - Openness and authenticity is crucial. We have many customers with whom I have not only a business relationship, but also a personal one. And that makes me proud, says Franz Zahler, also a sales rep. Franz covers the mountainous Upper Austria while Werner covers Vienna. Not by phone or email, but by visits. Every day, they travel their district, taking the car, scooter, tram or metro to reach the pharmacies we are in business with. - Only in Austria do we visit face-to-face. I’m a big fan of it. Talking on the phone is one thing, but being there in person really creates a different and stronger relationship with our customers, says Werner Thury. It’s a job that – besides a good pair of sneakers – requires a polished set of people skills. Luckily, Franz, Werner and their sales rep-colleagues have that in abundance. Together, they cover the entirety of Austria, their efforts coordinated from our office in Vienna. -?Of course we bring products to the market that are urgently needed at a good price. But price isn’t everything. We also try to provide this extra personal service and connection, says Franz Zahler. #abacusmedicinegroup #movinghealthcaremovingyou #betteraccessbetterhealthcare #pharmacy #healthcare #sales Photos: Franz Zahler on 1 and 3, Werner Thury on 2, 4 and 5.

Job Scam Alert – Protect Your Job Search Every candidate deserves to feel confident and secure in their job search. Recently, we've encountered scams where fraudsters impersonate companies, offering fake positions to collect personal and financial details from unsuspecting job seekers. In one case, a candidate was offered a position after an online interview (without video) and was asked to provide sensitive banking and tax information before even starting the role. It’s deeply concerning to see job seekers being deceived in this way, and we want to help you avoid falling into such traps. At Abacus Medicine Group, we are committed to a fair, transparent, and ethical recruitment process. We encourage all candidates to ask the right questions, do their research, and feel empowered to make informed decisions. Here’s how to identify a legitimate recruitment process: ? Verify the source: Always check that job openings are posted on official company websites or trusted job platforms. ? Transparent communication: A legitimate company will ensure that communication throughout the process is clear and transparent, with interviews conducted by both Talent Acquisition Partners and Hiring Managers, either online (with video) or in person. ? Official email addresses: All communication should come from a company’s official domain, not a generic or suspicious address. ? Never provide financial details upfront: Legitimate companies will never ask for banking information or payment at the early stages of recruitment. What you can do to protect yourself: ? Reach out for clarity: If you have doubts about a job offer or process, contact the company directly. Ask about their recruitment process and what to expect from each step. A reputable company will always provide you with this information. ? Research the company: Take the time to explore the company’s website, social media profiles, and online reviews to get a sense of their values and reputation. ? Trust your instincts: If something feels off, don’t hesitate to take a step back. It’s always better to ask questions and make sure everything is legitimate. I wish you all the best in your job search, and rest assured that the Talent Acquisition team at Abacus Medicine Group is here to support you every step of the way. #jobscamalert #jobsearchconfidence #careersuccess #recruitment #stayInformed

  • 2024 – An impressive anniversary year for all business units! A new year lies ahead for the Abacus Medicine Group and we couldn't be more excited. 2025 is filled with possibilities, and our plan remains focused on growth and driving meaningful change across the Group – all to improve global healthcare through better access to medicine. As we begin this new chapter, we want to take a moment to reflect on what an extraordinary year 2024 was for the Abacus Medicine Group. Last year, we celebrated #20 years anniversary, won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Copenhagen region, and came closer to reaching the incredible milestone of being #1500 colleagues around the globe. We had another year of impressive profitable growth across all business areas and look forward to unfolding that in our annual report soon. We are deeply grateful to all our partners, suppliers and colleagues for their trust and commitment. Thank you for being part of our journey! We are looking forward to another exciting year of profitable growth and breaking records together. #AbacusMedicineGroup #BetterAccess #BetterHealthcare

  • Last night, we had a wonderful night at Lokomotivv?rkstedet in Copenhagen, where we celebrated the winners of this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year country finals. The jury awarded Autorola Group with the main prize as Entrepreneur of the Year and Aasted as the winner of the Export and Globalization-category, the two categories in which Abacus Medicine Group was nominated. Both companies have grown in an impressive way, so we can only say that the award was well deserved. Congratulations to all the winners and see you next year hopefully! #EOYDanmark #abacusmedicinegroup #entrepreneurship #betteraccessbetterhealthcare #healthcare

  • They’ve been at it most of the year. Meeting at regular intervals, talking, dreaming and expanding on (mostly) work-related subjects. Maxine Hamilton, VP of Medical and Technical Services at Abacus Medicine Pharma Services, has had the pleasure of mentoring two mentees in this year’s Global Mentor Programme at Abacus Medicine Group. - Through the programme, we managed to create a space where we could share thoughts and find understanding to a degree that benefitted all parties. It was real mentorship going both ways, and we all learned so much together, she says. Maxine’s mentees, tender & project manager Pernille Nielsen?and product analyst Solene Lapasset, agree. They’ve benefitted immensely from Maxine’s guidance – and look forward to continuing the mentorship after the official closure of the programme. - I am in the beginning of my career, and the opportunity to get a set of more experienced eyes on the journey in front of me has really cleared things up. It allowed me to think freely on what’s important to me in my work-life, says Pernille. - I come from a non-corporate background. With Maxine’s help I’ve been able to reflect on how I contribute in the best way possible to my team, while also feeling comfortable enough to honestly share what can challenge me, says Solene. Global P&C Specialist Matilde de Stricker Borch put together and lead this year’s programme with Head of Learning and Development, Jakob Kaalund. The 2024 programme introduced the idea of a global effort where pairs were put together across locations. - As Abacus grows, this is an important part of our toolkit to empower our employees to realise their opportunities while developing and reinforcing collaboration across our locations. We’re getting big – but we’re still one company with a strong culture of understanding and a caring community, says Matilde. #abacusmedicinegroup #mentorship #betteraccessbetterhealthcare
