AAUW Condemns Executive Order on Public Service Loan Forgiveness. This harmful order revokes PSLF eligibility from non-profit organizations opposed by the Administration and removes the application form — denying thousands of borrowers the forgiveness they've earned. Without PSLF, student debt will continue to burden public service professionals, especially women who hold nearly two-thirds of the nation's student debt, forcing many to abandon essential public service roles for higher-paying private sector jobs. #SaveDeptEd

Celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth by honoring Indira Bailey, Ph.D., AAUW American Fellow (2019-2020), Assistant Professor of Art Education at Claflin University. Dr. Bailey addresses the underrepresentation of Black women artists in K-12 teaching resources and advocates for inclusive, diverse curricula. With a dual-title doctorate in Art Education and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, her work centers marginalized voices. Dr. Bailey’s scholarship has been presented worldwide, and she is curating Iya, an art show celebrating Black women artists.
