At the CivicWell Policymakers Conference, a Park Ranger joined us on our nature walk hosted by AARP California. She was overcome with gratitude when we thanked her for her service and shared that for over 30 years local elected officials have gathered in Yosemite to discuss environmental sustainability and climate change. Her last name was Trust. Huge thanks to dedicated civic servants like Ranger Trust, who continue to do important work--like saving injured hikers on horseback as part of trained cavalry--in the face of uncertainty as a federal employee. The National Parks are lucky to have people like you.

We are working with the?City of Oceanside?to develop a?five-year Age-Friendly Plan?that enhances livability for residents of all ages. As part of this effort, we facilitated the first of four?Age-Friendly Community Listening & Learning Sessions?to gather community input on key needs and priorities. These sessions provide valuable insights that will help shape a more?inclusive, accessible, and vibrant?Oceanside for all. A special thank you to the?City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation and AARP California?for their partnership and support in this initiative.
