How closely are your recruitment and provider compensation teams working together? In a recent American Association of Provider Compensation Professionals survey of nearly 90 healthcare organizations with dedicated provider compensation departments, we found a striking trend: ? 70% health systems have folded traditional recruitment functions—like offer management, letter of intent development, market analysis for determining offers, and strategic input on staffing/hiring—into the provider compensation and workforce strategy department. ?? Approximately 15% of organizations now have the entire recruitment team reporting through the provider compensation and workforce strategy department. Since our last survey, these numbers have nearly doubled. Healthcare organizations are continuing to evolve how recruitment, retention, and compensation align—seeking tighter integration, greater efficiency, and more strategic workforce planning.
