AAmp designing new hotel in Portland, announced in Press Herald! Excited to announce that we’re designing a new 90+ room boutique hotel in downtown Portland, ME. Carefully restoring and repurposing Maine’s first high-rise, known as the Fidelity Trust Building built in 1910, the former bank will be home to a hotel with a large double-height lobby bar and restaurant, lower-level bar, fitness facility and other amenities. Savannah’s coming along! ?? This summer we saw a lot of transformation at our?@municipal_grandhotel project! All of the steel is installed for the new rooftop pool, stairs and elevators are in, and most of the large mechanical units are in place! Very excited to keep this progress going. Construction update! ?? Exterior and interior finishes are underway at AAmp's Bessborough Residence in Toronto. From the exterior, the modern addition mimics the form of the historic home, to pay homage to it. On the interior, the new extension — nearly doubling the home’s size — introduces an open plan with double height spaces, and offers more natural light with a connection to the exterior. A two-story glass element marks the ‘break’ between historic and new. Construction update! ?? ... Windows and brick installation were recently completed on AAmp's Jones Mutli-Unit project in Toronto. The project consists of a new two-story addition to an existing mid-century building, originally planned as medical offices. It includes an extensive renovation and restoration of the existing 1950s structure, to incorporate and bring up to building code, two rental units and a commercial space. Existing features such as glazed brick tile and terrazzo stairs will be carefully restored to the original design, as well as adding a few more colorful touches of our own, like rooftop shower! …?#goingup?#jonesresidence?#aampstudio https://lnkd.in/ewXjc8d7

Construction Update!?? Our Hillier House project is nearly enclosed! This T-shaped residence is sited on an expansive rural property that affords sweeping views of the agrarian landscape. Consisting of three low-slung gabled volumes, each wing serves a distinct purpose for its residents — one wing is intended for rest, another for indoor / outdoor living, and a third for exercise and study. Very excited to share a first glimpse of our design for?Municipal Grand, a new 44-room boutique hotel in Savannah, Georgia! The project is currently under construction and slated for an early 2025 opening. The existing mid-century building — originally a bank headquarters — is being carefully preserved and restored to accommodate its historic status, while new elements are thoughtfully integrated to meet the needs of the hotel. It will feature a large double-height lobby bar and restaurant, rooftop pool and subterranean bar. Excited to show you more soon!
