Today's the day! Amplify Austin Day begins this year on 3/5 at 6 pm and ends 24 hours later on 3/6 at 6 pm. However you decide to support, this is an opportunity to focus on important work happening locally (& often run by small teams!) in our own communities. After all, #AmplifyAustin is best practiced when we remember #ILiveHereIGiveHere Check out our story and share with someone you know by visiting https://lnkd.in/gQWkdasx If you'd like to support one of our fundraisers specifically (such as Matthew or Keya, our Community Outreach interns), simply scroll to the bottom to support through their link!

Currently getting on a plane to California, so it seemed fitting to share our latest piece in Stanford Social Innovation Review ?? It's a field guide for building powerful coalitions that achieve breakthrough reforms at scale. In it, we reveal the secret sauce behind Community Health Impact Coalition's success in global health reform. ??Evidence-based advocacy: Hard data + compelling frontline stories ??Policy scoreboard: Target root causes for lasting change ? Frontline leadership: "Nothing about us, without us" ??Strategic coalition building: Unite diverse skills to amplify impact These aren't theories—they're battle-tested in our #proCHW movement. As Emily Bancroft said: robust evidence + clear targets + credible voices + a strong backbone = unprecedented impact. Ready to scale your impact? Whether it's climate change, education reform, or social justice, these practices are a blueprint for any Coalition aiming to create massive change?? https://lnkd.in/eUkwU555

In case you missed our last quarterly newsletter, this is what AACHI accomplished in 2024! With a team of 5 multilingual Community Health Navigators (CHNs), we scheduled 1,100 medical appointments for our clients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and accompanied clients to 750+ of those appointments to provide language interpretation & patient advocacy when talking to providers. As the need for accessible healthcare information and services grow, #CommunityHealthWorkers (or Community Health Navigators, as we say in-house) only become more essential in facilitating the process of seeking care. Between health insurance, language or knowledge barriers, and our complex medical system, folks of all backgrounds and situations benefit from the crucial assistance CHNs provide. Support our work for as little as $5 this Amplify Austin day: https://lnkd.in/gQWkdasx #AmplifyAustin #ILiveHereIGiveHere #supportlocal #nonprofit

Despite making up 7% of the American population, Asian American organizations receive less than 0.2% of philanthropic giving. As you participate in this year's #AmplifyAustin and #ilivehereigivehere, consider filling in the gaps for populations that are often overlooked. Collectively, our supporters help build safety nets by assisting with the real costs of non-profit operations that aren't covered through grants and contracts. We love being able to provide services free of charge to the local community, and with your general donations, we can fill in the spaces that contracts don't cover. Whether it's $5 or $500, every dollar gets put to good use towards our mission of expanding healthcare access & improving well-being for all. Visit https://lnkd.in/gQWkdasx to make an impact & energize our team! We are so grateful for your belief & support ??

Community health workers are more than caregivers, they are health educators, advocates, navigators, care coordinators, community builders and mental health supporters for the most vulnerable. They are the backbone of healthcare in undeserved areas bridging the gap between medical institutions and the people who need care the most. CHW's step into homes, listen to stories, and navigate complex social barriers to ensure no one is left behind. Despite their critical role in improving health outcomes, they often remain underpaid, overworked, overlooked, undervalued and underfunded. If we truly believe in health equity, why do we overlook those who make it possible? Investing in CHWs isn't just a policy decision; it's a moral one because when we uplift those who serve our communities, we strengthen the very foundation of public health. A healthy society isn't just about medicine. It's about valuing those who bring it to the people. Today, we Celebrate you for all the good work and support to our communities????

Find us and over 20 local AAPI+ makers on Saturday, March 1st at the Asian American Resource Center (AARC) from 1-4pm! AACHI will be there chatting about the free health navigation services we offer to the community as a local nonprofit. Stop by our booth and say hi to our Community Outreach team! Registration is not required, but does help us estimate how many people to expect. Learn more about the event, see the vendor list, and register at: https://lnkd.in/gJmZ3VuA

Get to know our multilingual Community Health Navigators— the lovely folks providing direct services every day to make healthcare more accessible. From scheduling doctor's appointments to waiting for hours on the phone to navigate insurance or application processes with clients, our CHNs are with community members every step of the way. As trusted leaders who've been trained to help others navigate the healthcare system and social services sphere, they are essential to the fabric of local immigrant life. #supportlocal?#CommunityHealthWorkers?#HealthcareAccess?#amplifyaustin?#AmplifyAustinDay?#ILiveHereIGiveHere?#HealthcareHeroes?#LanguageAccess
