The Southern California Section of AACE International has been meeting in various locations across Southern California since 1960. Our section includes members from the central California coast to San Bernardino, Riverside, Imperial and San Diego. For those who are unable to attend our regular meetings, this site is intended to improve communications and outreach with all section members and others interested in total cost management. We welcome you to join our group to help facilitate our membership drive, participate in discussion of our profession and to benefit by networking with us at the AACEI-Southern California Section AACE International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association. Since 1956, AACE International has been the leading-edge professional society for cost estimators, cost engineers, schedulers, project managers and project control specialists. With over 7,500 members worldwide, AACE International is the largest organization serving the entire spectrum of cost management professionals. AACE International is industry independent, and has members in 87 countries and 80 local sections. AACE International seeks to provide its members with the resources needed to enhance their performance and promote continued growth and success in their professional careers.

Orr, PSP FAACE The objective of this subcommittee is to increase planning and scheduling effectiveness through sharing of the latest planning and scheduling techniques and experiences. The subcommittee accomplishes this by developing Recommended Practices (RPs) for planning and scheduling, by providing a forum for the exchange of experience and information, by contributing to advances in state-of-the-art planning and scheduling methods, and compiling information about planning and scheduling. An important function of a subcommittee is the development of AACE recommended practices (RPs). These are peer-reviewed documents (usually < 10 pages) that define the specifics of particular methods or procedures, often derived from past papers and articles.?

  • Friendly reminder from our new Membership chair Agustin Martinez, PMP to all SoCal members to update your section affiliation if you haven’t done so already. To update or verify your affiliation, you’ll need to log into your AACE Profile Home Page and scroll down to the “Membership” section. The section should read that “You have an active membership” and your section affiliation should read “Southern California – Region 06”. If needed, you can click the “Update section affiliation” hyperlink and select Southern California from the following list. That’s it!
