?? The women across our nine Business Resource Groups joined to celebrate Women’s History Month. ???? Throughout March, their contributions are acknowledged through storytelling, employee spotlights, and engaging panel discussions.

??March is Women’s History Month, and we are celebrating Sybil C. Geary, a trailblazer in the early days of the Automobile Club of Southern California. From 1908 to 1914, she rose from part-time stenographer to Secretary, the top administrative role. ?? As Secretary, Geary grew membership, increased advertising revenue, and expanded our member magazine, Touring Topics, which she also edited. She lobbied for updates to California’s motor vehicle laws and led the Auto Club’s signposting program. ?? In 1913, the Los Angeles Times wrote: “Miss Geary’s position with the Automobile Club is held by no other woman in the world… The rapid growth in the club of the last few years has been largely due to the efforts of its Secretary.”

??This month, we’re focusing our employee wellness theme on nutrition. Our Wellness program includes seasonal fitness challenges, and this spring we’re getting “chirpy” over our latest one. ??Starting in March, we invited our employees to engage in the Chirpy challenge by logging their healthy activities – steps, exercise, healthy behaviors, and nutrition. ??Chirpy includes access to more than 200 healthy recipes to help employees improve their overall well-being. Wellness is a journey, and we’re proud to promote better health and well-being for our employees!

?? As part of their annual meeting, the AAA Member Service Center/Policy Management Group (MSC/PMG) leadership team gathered at the Ronald McDonald House of Orange County. The team prepared breakfast and snack bags for the children, parents, and caregivers staying at the house. ?? Group volunteer events like this are a great way to build a sense of teamwork, give back to our communities, and take part in our MyClubCares Community Impact Program, which includes an annual 8 hours of paid volunteer leave for our employees.

?? We are proud to announce that our AAA Texas Administrative Offices in Coppell, Texas was honored by the Coppell Chamber of Commerce, which named it Large Business of the Year. The honor was bestowed for the second year in a row due to our community impact and involvement. ??The Coppell Chamber’s annual gala honors local businesses, organizations, and individuals who have significantly impacted the community.

?Happy Employee Appreciation Day! Our theme says it all: We are “Lucky to Have You!” Every day, our employees make a positive difference in the lives of our members. We appreciate them every day, and this day is no exception!

??Our employees continue to donate and volunteer in response to the California Wildfires. February 26, our Lift Every Voice African American/Black Business Resource Group organized a derby benefitting the Black LA Relief & Recovery Fund, which aims to help rebuild the traditionally Black neighborhoods of Altadena and Pasadena. ??? Teams representing different departments donated funds towards 1 of 7 derby cars, which were placed on a racetrack at our Administrative Offices amidst cheering and encouragement!

??Happy Mardi Gras! ?? ?? “Laissez les bons temps rouler” (“let the good times roll”) and remember to arrange a sober ride if you plan to party this Mardi Gras. Our offices in the Metairie and Covington, Louisiana branches are closed in observation.
