Changing the few who change the many! A3 nurtures intentional learning communities to build & sustain Christ's leaders.

关于我们

A3 is the global leader development network that changes the few who change the many. A3 nurtures intentional learning communities to build and sustain Christ's leaders around the world. A3 NETWORKS We foster intentional networks with several high-impact leaders to face their challenges... together. A3 LEADERS A3 leaders are carrying the opportunity to reach many people in their local communities with the transforming message of Jesus Christ. They are strategically positioned and poised to grow alongside other leaders with shared purpose. A3 PROCESS Our process is centered around the belief that a Spirit-led community can change the culture of an entire nation—virtually anything—toward Christ's purposes. We give leaders a structure to connect and sustain each other, accelerate their own ministries, and expand the love of Jesus throughout their communities. A3 SESSIONS The A3 Leader Development Model brings together 12-18 leaders who meet quarterly over a 2-year period. Intensive, in-service, in-country, in-community, and ongoing. A3 COMMUNITY The relationships that develop in the context of this experience provide a network for ongoing collaboration, friendship and development long after the cohort graduates. 4 OUTCOMES What do we want to see as the result of our work in the life and ministry of each leader? 1. Living in a love relationship with God. 2. Growing as a Christ-like leader. 3. Reproducing disciple-making leaders. 4. Catalyzing Christ-centered movements. OUR VISION "A vibrant community accelerating Christ-centered movements around the world." OUR MISSION "We equip and unify visionary Christ-centered leaders to influence Spirit-led change." Hi Friends! I am so excited about what God is doing through A3. We have grown more in the last two years than we have in my entire tenure at A3 over the last 16 and a half! It is remarkable. And guess what? We have a friend who has come alongside and just said, "You know what? I love what God is doing. I want to fuel that even further!" They have offered to us a $500,000 matching challenge that we have to meet by December 31st this year. And you and I have the opportunity to prayerfully consider coming alongside this friend of ours to see A3 grow. It is stunning to see what God is doing. We are growing in Japan, across the middle of Asia, across Western Asia, now into Africa, And this gift will enable us to continue to see that growth happening. So thank you for partnering with us. I am deeply grateful for you and grateful for the work of the kingdom. It is just stunning to see what God is doing. God bless you and please prayerfully consider how you can come alongside. Every dollar you give will be doubled this year. What an opportunity for the kingdom to advance! #GivingTuesday #A3Leaders #GivingChallenge #JoeHandley

ICYMI: (A3) Ministry Blossoming this Springtime: Spring Brings Ministry Blossoms Hi there, Friends! I just want to say how grateful I am for you. It's just about spring season here, and at our home here, we have these Japanese cherry blossoms starting to bloom. And it just fills my heart with joy after living in Japan and seeing that season year after year. What an exciting season it is for A3 right now. Silk and I just got back from a trip to the greater Middle East area. And, God is moving in powerful ways. We have opened six countries in the middle of Asia alone in the last couple of years, and a colleague of mine just got back from a trip to Africa, where four countries are potentially eager to open. It's just so thrilling on the cusp of getting back home,?I got this awesome report from our team in Japan of all that God is doing. Thank You for Your Partnership And so I just want to say thank you for your partnership with us. We are so grateful, and I pray that God blesses you in this season, and I'm hoping spring comes soon; these flowers are showing so... but the clouds above are a little bit gray these days. But I love these cherry blossoms. God bless you and have a wonderful day! Watch my video... If you the video player does not work, visit Vimeo here Rev. Joseph W. ICYMI: (A3) Nepal: Equipping Leaders in Remote Villages: ORALITY TALKS INTERVIEWS WITH DR. CHITTRY ABSTRACT: Dr. Chittry, a prominent leader in Nepal, employs innovative approaches to train pastors in remote regions, addressing issues of poverty and low self-worth. Drawing from his life journey, he emphasizes the value individuals hold in God's sight. Utilizing activities, role-playing, and sustainable practices like farming, Chittry imparts leadership lessons. Creative methods such as football, singing heart language songs, and the "Handful of Rice" approach enhance adult learning and contribute to building resilient communities. Dr. Chittry is a leader, the pastor of one of the largest church networks in Nepal (over 400 churches). He and his wife co-lead a church leadership development network that has trained 100 of the top denominational and church network leaders in the country. When I asked him how he trains those serving in the remote regions of Nepal, he shared various critical aspects of their approach. In many of their encounters in their training in most of the places they go, food is scarce, and when it comes time to eat, his wife will say to everyone: Don’t be greedy… We understand why you fill the plate. But you will get enough to eat. You can go 3 or 4 times. Eat as much as you can. We want to feed you. When you face this type of poverty and malnourishment, often there can be a scarcity mindset. Dr. Chittry comes alongside, coaching and equipping them as they go. Sharing further, he says: Most of them are dominated by the high castes, so they feel undervalued and uncared for. We bring the issue of how valuable we are in the sight of God and why God choose us in this time. God will use you and bring glory and honor in His Name. The Story of Dr. Chittry Dr. Chittry was abandoned as a child and left malnourished because of a curse placed on his life. His older brother had become a Christian and rescued him, taking him to a missionary who raised him. On the road to the missionary orphanage, his brother stopped and prayed to God: “My brother is dying, Lord. If you revive him, I will commit his life to you.” The Lord answered the prayer and allowed Dr. Chittry to live. He committed himself to serving the Lord, who saved him from the curse of his life. Allow people to understand concepts through activities that might normally occur in society, and it is through role-playing and other simulations that these ideas sync into our systems and have a longer-lasting impact. This picture illustrates how even children’s play and programming impact the lives of adult learners. Today, Dr. Chittry has learned sustainability and lives from an abundance mindset. He takes what God has given him and multiplies it by training others to practice ministry through sustainable systems: farming, raising chickens and pigs, etc. On the left is a picture of Dr. Chittry with his…

ICYMI: (A3biz) Something Even More Profound: New Ecuador cohort experiences exceptional weekend The first weekend of March, I had the honor of joining an exceptional group of marketplace leaders—members of the first Latin American cohort of A3.business—for a workshop led by Will Nicklas and coordinated by Elliott Snuggs. Pictured above: Capturing moments of connection: Will Nicklas sharing Christian leadership principles to marketplace leaders in Ecuador. Beyond gaining invaluable insights into the techniques and strategies used by one of the world's top automotive brands to enter and expand in competitive markets successfully, we explored something even more profound: the principles that guide the people behind these strategies. We reflected on how to apply Christlike leadership that enables us to navigate with integrity, even in challenging and uncertain environments. Grateful for the wisdom shared and the meaningful discussions that reinforced the importance of faith-driven leadership in business. We pray and look forward to reuniting in our next four sessions with world-class executives, thanks to A3, led by Joseph Handley. Special thanks to Oswaldo Pi?eiros (who coordinates A3’s ministry leaders cohort in Ecuador) for his unwavering support in Ecuador, years of friendship, and for the collaboration with WithYou International. For more servant leaders in the marketplace, Marcelo Pazos H. --- Marcelo is an expert in international relations, negotiations and market access. He has experience in Asia and Latin America developing businesses and supporting trade negotiations and diplomacy. Marcelo leads A3.business efforts in Latin America. ? ? #A3business #A3Leaders #FaithandWork

ICYMI: (A3) Raising up Esthers!: Bangladesh, India, & Cambodia each hold A3.Women in Ministry sessions I recently came back from a 3-week trip for WIM—Women in Ministry. What a privilege to be part of the expanding work God is doing among these beautiful women in Bangladesh, India, and Cambodia! The Lord is definitely raising up the Esthers in these nations who will help to bring Spirit-led change in their churches and communities for the sake of His Kingdom!? BANGLADESH A3/Bangladesh WIM started 2nd?cohort of 18 women led by 4 alumni from the first cohort Above: Worshiping together in Bangladesh What a vibrant, fun group of women—all in, learning and growing together! Plus, a very strong leadership team walks alongside the new cohort. During the session, I had the honor of teaching on the topics of Spiritual Formation and discipleship. Lots of interactions with each other, times of prayer and seeking the Lord, and even worship dancing during the weekend. We could feel the joy and excitement of being together as sisters in Christ. The ladies had a chance to express their identity in Christ by using clay to mold images! On the last day of the session, the alumni from the 1st?cohort were invited to share how WIM had impacted their lives and to begin to build prayer partner relationships with the 2nd?cohort. There was such a strong bond of sisterhood established that weekend. I am so grateful for what God is building there in this nation.?? INDIA A3/India WIM now developing 3rd?cohort of leaders Above: Sharing Life Stories in India During my second week, I attended India's 3rd?session on Life Journey and spiritual gifts taught by Holly Hair one of A3's faculty. The women really received and especially loved the prophetic art prayer time that Holly set up. I was honored to be able to interact and hear some of these women’s stories of coming from a Hindu family background and by God’s love and grace being saved for His purposes. Lots of tears shed and prayers for God’s healing work in their lives! So beautiful to see! And we were starkly reminded that international missions can come with challenges. One leader from the U.S. ended up with a medical emergency while we were in India. She was able to go to a local hospital and get some tests done for her situation. The Lord answered our prayers, and she ended up in good health and was able to teach!? CAMBODIA Second leader cohort of women running in Cambodia Above: Boat Ride Fun in Cambodia Finally, Cambodia was the final stop for this whirlwind trip. The 2nd?cohort held the 3rd session (of 8 total) with Holly again teaching life journey and spiritual gifts, just as in India. The women received insight into their own spiritual gifts and how God has been and is continuing to use them in these areas. Again the prophetic art prayer time was so meaningful for these ladies! Many tears and encouraging words were…

ICYMI: (MNN) Anti-conversion law holds strong in Nepal: Seventeen U.S. citizens and one Indian citizen detained in Nepal Nepal (MNN) — Seventeen U.S. citizens and one citizen from India were?detained in Nepal?in early February. The accusation? Attempting to convert people to Christianity.?The group was in Nepal with 15-day tourist visas and participated in a construction project on a local church. Authorities confiscated their documents for further investigation of the allegations. “I think it’s very possible it’s misconstrued, because what I saw in the report was they were just doing social type work. They were [being] the hands and feet of Christ, which is awesome. We need more of that, and that lays a foundation for evangelism to happen,” says Joe Handley with?A3.? “On the other hand, it’s possible that they weren’t given some wise counsel and went ahead, shared their faith, and just didn’t know what they were doing.” ? ? ? (Stock photo obtained via Pixabay) ? ? ? ? Handley explains that Nepal has leaned more and more toward neighboring India’s stance, reinstating an anti-conversion law. It wasn’t always like this though. “[Nepal] had an interesting history where anti-conversion laws were strong — very prohibitive. Then the church gained favor with the government for a season because of the way they reached out in the name of Christ to their fellow members of the society,” Handley says.? “[Christians] were tackling human trafficking on a scale that was impressive to the government. The government said, ‘Hey, we could actually use your help, because various religious groups are mad at us, and some are angry at you as believers. So we think we need religious tolerance in this country.’”? A religious liberty clause was?established in Nepal’s constitution in 2007. But today, with strict anti-conversion law in place, Christians have to navigate a fine line if they speak of Christ.? “Longer term, I’ve found it to be better to empower local national leaders,” Handley says, “and then they have the discernment of when and where is ‘safe’ to be able to do that kind of work.” Despite pressure, the church in Nepal is growing. Please join in prayer for the group that was detained, as well as for local Christians serving Christ in Nepal.? “[For the]?short term, pray for this team.?Obviously, we want the best for them. Pray for those that they’ve served alongside that they don’t get caught up in some mayhem related to this,” says Handley.? “For the long term, pray for those that are on the ground, not just there, like [some] going in for a week here and there, but for those who are living there and plowing the soil and really doing the work of the Kingdom on the ground.” ?
