Continuing our Meet the Team series with A2IM's Marketing Manager, Jasmine Lopez Alvarez! Originally from San Francisco, Jasmine moved to New York to attend NYU's Graduate Music Business Program and joined A2IM in 2023. "After working for an independent music venue through the pandemic, I was inspired by the way independent communities come together to support one another in times of uncertainty. We're topping off our Black History Month Spotlight Series with Thirty Tigers artist, 3x GRAMMY winning legend, Blues Hall of Famer, six-time Grammy nominee, and 18-time Blues Music Award winner Bobby Rush! Rush has become one of the most prominent advocates for the blues tradition. He says “it’s the root of all music, it’s the mother of all music. If you don’t like the blues, you probably don’t like your mama.” And he has no plans to slow down. Rush and five-time Grammy? nominated singer/songwriter/guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd unite for a very special collection of new blues songs that the two artists wrote and recorded together. Titled YOUNG FASHIONED WAYS, the album will be available on March 21. “I never thought I would be here this long,” says Rush. “I was 83 years old before I won a Grammy, but it’s better late than never.
