A Place for Me Counseling is a beacon of expertise and inclusiveness created to provide clients with a secure and nurturing space. Our devoted clinicians specialize in aiding individuals, couples, and families as they navigate the complexities of trauma, anxiety, depression, life adjustments, and relationship challenges. Going beyond conventional counseling, we embrace innovative techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), hypnotherapy, sex therapy, and the gold standard for anxiety-related disorders, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). Our approach encompasses a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including internal family systems (IFT), solution-focused, grief, narrative, acceptance and commitment (ACT), and cognitive behavior therapies (CBT). We support clients seeking to resolve challenges around transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. We provide a safe, friendly, inclusive, and therapeutic environment. When clients are ready to uncover intense emotions, we listen with empathy and compassion as we work together to help them navigate difficult situations, rewrite their narratives, and discover ways to emerge from their old stories stronger, more confident, and more resilient to face the world. We utilize a combination of theory and technique, including Eye Movement desensitizing and reprocessing (EMDR), hypnotherapy, exposure response prevention (ERP), solution-focused narrative, cognitive behavior, and sex therapy.
