Whenever we talk about bringing more love into the workplace, “accountability” always comes up as an important concern. We’ve all worked with people who underperform. It’s frustrating when no one “holds them accountable.” It leaves the rest of us to pick up the pieces. But here’s the thing: love isn’t the issue. The real problem? A lack of commitment. When commitment is weak, we avoid tough conversations. We sidestep decisions that impact performance. Strong commitment, paired with love, changes that.
