关于我们
A Human Workplace is a boutique consultancy that guides leaders and teams to make work more loving and human. AHW has more than 30 affiliated practitioners in the US and UK who are committed to putting love at the center of work and who are experts in culture transformation, leadership presence, and human-centered teams. They stand for loving human workplaces because they know this is a better way of working: It’s better for team members, better for customers and stakeholders, better for organizations, and ultimately better for society. It's time to put love at the center and create a more human workplace! A Human Workplace programs are based on the primary qualitative research and practices of Founder Renée Smith, MSOD, who collected and analyzed the stories of hundreds of people to learn from their experiences of love and fear in the workplace. AHW Facilitators, Coaches, Trainers, and Consultants combine these insights on love and fear with their unique backgrounds to inspire, teach, and equip leaders, teams, and organizations to grow workplaces that are high-performing and exceptional places to work. AHW offers talks, gatherings, workshops, and customized culture programs that affirm and uplift human dignity and success at work, wherever that work takes place. You won’t find this unique approach, resources, and commitment anywhere else!

Fear and love are deeply human; we can’t just check them at the door when we step into the office, even though we often believe we do. Whether we’re conscious of it or not, these emotions weave into workplace interactions, influencing morale, shaping culture, and ultimately affecting retention. What’s the outcome? Renée Smith shares a real-life example in this edition of our newsletter.

What does "love" mean in the workplace? It's not just about warm fuzzies; it's about respect, trust, kindness, and inclusion. #Culture #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement

"Slack time." Do those two words make you uncomfortable? Do they bring up a feeling that maybe you’re not doing enough or being productive enough? It doesn’t have to be that way. We all need time to unwind, rest, and sometimes simply do nothing. Here's what Renée Smith had to say about it in an episode of To Work:With Love by Gut+Science podcast. What is that one thing that grounds you and reminds you of who you are? That's exactly what Renée Smith talks about in this newsletter. "We could spend a lot of time exploring why the one practice that feeds us can be the first thing to slip through the cracks. Instead, today let's not focus on that. Let's not even focus on creating a new habit. ? Today, let's just simply do our one thing."

Whenever we talk about bringing more love into the workplace, “accountability” always comes up as an important concern. We’ve all worked with people who underperform. It’s frustrating when no one “holds them accountable.” It leaves the rest of us to pick up the pieces. But here’s the thing: love isn’t the issue. The real problem? A lack of commitment. When commitment is weak, we avoid tough conversations. We sidestep decisions that impact performance. Strong commitment, paired with love, changes that. It builds a culture where we’re all in—together. That’s real accountability. #ahumanworkplace #accountability #responsibility #workplaceculture #workplaces #organizationalculture #organizationaldevelopment
