Earlier this week, my train line broke down. I got out of the train and there were probably 100+ commuters, many on their phones, some just looked lost. I got an Uber to get to Newark NJ station so I could get on another train to get into New York City where my company office is. I shouted out: "I got an Uber coming in 6 minutes. I can take a few people with me." People were so excited (relieved) and many wanted to come with me. I could only take 3, but immediately another woman shouted she had a Lyft in 12 mins and could take people with her. I didn't take any ride money from my fellow commuters and asked them to just pay it forward for someone else that day. A bad morning commute turned into something positive. Let's do more of that - we've got this!

    Coaching High Performers to Redefine Success & Reclaim Freedom | Human BE-ing Coach & Conscious Leadership Advocate | Best-Selling Author & Publisher | Co-Founder @ChangingWork | Ex-Google

I’m lying on a bathroom floor 7,500 miles and three flights away from home, in a foreign country where I do not speak the language, and I’m convinced that I’m having a heart attack.... This is how my chapter in Leading With Compassion, Cultivating Compassion From The Inside Out starts out. It goes on to describe one of the most harrowing experiences I've had in my life, and one of the most educational. It was this moment that was the catalyst for a multi year journey of learning self compassion, and compassion for others. It led me to deepening my mindfulness practice, staring a coaching business and eventually co-founding Changing Work with my amazing co-founders Aimee S. and Scott Shute. Today we're launching our second book, Leading With Compassion, Cultivating Compassion From The Inside Out. I invite you to grab a copy today only for $3.99 for the digital version. Paperback is coming out on Monday. 25 amazing authors share their story of learning to lead with compassion, and I'm humbled to be among them. This isn't just another leadership book. This is a compilation of hard earned wisdom, vulnerable shares and examples of the kind of leadership the world desperately needs right now. For less that the price of a carton of eggs, you can help us get to the Amazon best seller lists, so more people who need to read this book can see it too. Grab a copy today and consider leaving a review. Thank you for leading with compassion and enjoy the book! PS. Happy Valentines day and happy Book Giving Day! It's almost like we planned it to launch on this day ;)

Someone just asked you to do something that’s not your job. Now you’re stuck wondering how to say no without sounding like a jerk. Here’s how you can handle it: #1: If you want to be direct: “I’m not the person you want for this.” #2: If it’s someone you’re close to: “I’m here for my part, not yours.” #3: If you want a softer approach: “What solution do you have so far?”

Connecting and inspiring people through kindness and effective communication

I have put together a summary of the types of workshop and talk that I offer through Time for Kindness: half-day workshops, lunch & learns, keynote talks and warm-up act. I am immensely proud of the services I provide. They make a real difference to the wellbeing of attendees, in turn having an impact on the teams and organisations they work for. When you see kind, you feel better. And when you feel better, you perform better. If you would like the information in a Word format to make it easier for you to access, let me know. What difference could this make to your organisation? #KindnessMatters #TeamKind
