The 99 Legacy Fund

At the end of last year, we initiated a series of blog posts focused on leveling up our individual legacies. The goal of this series is to help our classmates put a plan in place for Asset Protection & Estate Education. Today we pause to remember our dear classmate, Hannibal S. Wright. He graduated from Company F4. Hannibal was a jumper on the Track Team and had the nickname of H-Love due to his sense of style and handsome good looks. Please take a moment to send thoughts to his wife, Tori (class of 2000) and his four children, Hannah, Sarah, Hannibal, and Anna as we remember Hannibal--a father, a husband, a friend, a classmate. Four years ago, we said goodbye to our dear friend, Noah Orlando Johnson. A word to describe OJ is BIG—his BIG smile, his BIG laughter, his BIG dance moves, his BIG love. You could always count on him to bring joy to anyone around him. Today, let us we think of the dash between the years on a tombstone and remember the memories of OJ that we hold so close to our hearts. Keep his brilliant and beautiful children, Landry and Chris, his strong wife, Jennifer, and his children’s mother, Jaqueline, and all those who loved him in our thoughts today. Thinking of Eric Roderick on his heavenly birthday. Eric was from southern Ohio and started West Point in Company B-2 (Go Bulldogs!). Today, we remember our dear classmate, Jeffrey Hanelt who died on February 4, 2019. It’s been three years and we’ll remember the shared times that started at West Point. Remembering Suresh Ramgopal on his birthday. His cadet-time was spent in Fourth Regiment(C/I/H) and his Army-time was part of the King of Battle at Fort Sill. Today, we pause and remember William H. Ingram II, a great man who we lost four years ago. Will was a scholar, an athlete, a dependable friend, and classmate. He “brought southern flair” everywhere he went. Please pause to remember Will, share your stories about him, and help to remind his family that he will never be forgotten. Today, we remember Suresh Ramgopal. He was a member of the Lacross Team and a part of the Fourth Regiment throughout his time at West Point—C-4 (Go Cowboys!) I-4 (I-beam!), and H-4 (Hogs!). He died unexpectedly while serving as a Field Artillery officer at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. It’s hard to believe that we lost Suresh twenty-four years ago. Please grip hands with his wife, Sherrone Ramgopal, his mother, Patricia, his father, Dr. Chinniah, his brother, Rajesh, and his sister, Seshi. Today we remember and honor Nathan Richard Garaas. It’s been twenty-four years since we had to say good-bye to our classmate and friend. He was in F2 (Go Zoo!) and D3 (Devils!). His approach to life was filled with wit and humor and brought so many smiles to all who knew him. He departed us too early.
