    The best part of our work: meeting remarkable people and sharing their inspiring stories with the world! ?????? Yesterday, we spent the day at a video shoot for Saint Francis — Manchester. Working alongside bookend creative, the video features past and current organization leaders, staff, residents and their families. Collectively, their stories paint the picture of Saint Francis’ history and testify to its profound impact on Richmond’s low- to mid-income seniors. From conception to storyboard to yelling “action” on set, capturing these stories is truly a privilege and using our creativity for such a noble cause is a dream come true.

    What do you do with a rising star? Make sure she's got plenty of sky. When jenna weidner started at 93 Octane in 2010 as an intern, she quickly established herself as a conceptual force. Though we didn't have an opening, we knew a good thing when we saw it, and we created a part-time position just for her. It was a smart call. In the intervening 14 years, she's developed brands and campaigns for Maymont, EverBless, Virginia Victim Assistance Network, Cary Street Partners, Saint Francis — Manchester and scores of others, earning multiple promotions along the way. ? Today, we are thrilled to announce Jenna has been named Associate Creative Director. ? In addition to leading the creative development of key accounts alongside Founder and Creative Director John Lindner, she will take a strategic role in growing our talent pool, developing new business and focusing our growth. Avid puzzler and beer connoisseur Jenna has worked remotely from her office in Vermont since 2022, sharing it with her partner Erik and two miniature pups, Daphne and Frankie. Jenna loves exploring her new home, whether strolling along Lake Champlain, hiking Mount Philo, or cheering on her local Vermont Green soccer club. The perpetually cold Jenna has found a way to thrive in the chilly New England climate, largely thanks to her exceptionally warm and twinkling personality. Keep blazing, Jenna! ?

    We may only be a four-person shop, but we have an army of family, friends, and fans that magnify our impact. Today we celebrate someone who's all three rolled into one: Wendy Lindner! Equally quick with a smile or a tear, she pours her whole heart into everything she does. Every time she walks through our door, she reminds us of who we are and why we do what we do.     More than a new year... it's a brand new day. Two years ago, we began working with Saint Francis Home to update their brand. Out of that came a new name, Saint Francis — Manchester, and a new logo. But a brand is so much more than that. A brand encompasses the total customer experience, what Marty Neumeier calls "a person's gut feeling.” Partnering with bookend creative, we set out to create a video to capture that feeling in this video developed for donors. Unscripted, we went in and asked staff, residents and volunteers what their favorite part of the day was. This video captures their remarkable responses.

    It's the most wonderful time of the year... annual report season. Summing up a client's year can be a whopper of an assignment. An annual report must not only report on an organization's finances but also show its impact, thank its donors and inspire their continued support. Two projects we just completed show how we met the challenge. Better Housing Coalition is known for its affordable housing developed throughout the greater Richmond area. But our report shows how its impact is so much greater, opening doors of opportunity that lead to real transformation in its clients' lives. Saint Francis — Manchester is an assisted living community dedicated to providing an affordable community for seniors of limited means. This gargantuan task is only possible with the help of a world of supporters. Our report connects each accomplishment in the past year to the participation of donors, staff, residents and volunteers.
