Last month, we had the opportunity to take residents on the first-ever “Resident Trip” to Gatlinburg, TN! ???? It was an incredible experience filled with breathtaking views, exciting new adventures, and a chance to connect with nature. One resident, while taking in the majestic scenery at Smoky National Park, shared a powerful reflection: “Man, it would be hard to be angry when you get to see that every day…” and taking in a deep breath of fresh air continued, “but I guess I’m here so I can’t really be mad either! Just have things to hope for now!”. The trip was not only to see something beautiful; it was to remind everyone that beautiful things exist! We don’t always have the skills to come out from behind our experiences and see the wonder in the world, but with enough love and care, we can begin to do so. Dreaming is a privilege.
