But beyond her design talent, she holds another title near and dear to our hearts… Karaoke Queen (aka Mrs. Worldwide herself)! ???? To celebrate, we had to put our own spin on "Happy Birthday" with a full-team karaoke performance—because what better way to honor Megan than with an awesome if slightly off-key tribute? 818 brought home some hardware from the 2025 AAF of Des Moines awards last Saturday, and we’re beyond honored! ???? We had an incredible time celebrating at Noce Jazz & Cabaret with our amazing team, sharing in not just our own wins but also the achievements of close colleagues and friends. We’re proud to have earned two gold awards for our standout designs with Lion Bridge Brewing Company's MoonDream Beverage packaging and the Farm Bureau Financial Services timeline wall, plus a silver award for our experiential graphics for Wasabi West Des Moines…all of which will be going on to compete at the District level! Huge shoutout to Lashier Graphics & Signs, SpeedPro , and The Label Factory for rocking it as our print vendors for these outstanding projects. Seeing our hard work recognized like this is truly rewarding. We are continually amazed by the innovative ideas our friends at Gross-Wen Technologies bring to life! Recently, GWT developed an earth-friendly, algae-based fertilizer and came to us to design the bag. We are so excited to share with you the result of GWT’s hard work and the result of our creative powers combined. ? The fertilizer is made from byproducts harvested from their own visionary technology that uses algae to recover nutrients from wastewater. This nutrient-rich water vegetation is then harvested and pelletized to become the natural, algae-based fertilizer you see above: AlgaeProD90?. We also recently had the privilege of revamping their website, after having minimal updates since its launch in 2021. Now with a fresh look and feel, and new successes to share, they are perfectly positioned to grow and expand their reach with even more sustainable efforts. ?
