No more clues. The day is here. And so is the turning point and new direction for me. Many of you saw it coming, some of you had no idea. Now the suspense is over. Most of you know me as the founder of 8 Simple Steps and the creator of the 5-week V.A.L.U.E. Accelerator program, committed to helping business owners elevate their value to acquire more customers and build a sustainable business. However, the news today is about Ingennicom Communications, my 12-year-old marketing, branding & business strategy agency. I am thrilled to announce our new division: AI Empowerment Solutions. This initiative is in response to the growing demand for AI guidance, education, and implementation from my clients and community. The digital landscape is rapidly evolving, and AI is working overtime to revolutionize the way we operate in all facets of our business, non-profit, corporation, government entity, organization, institution, school --- you name it, it's impacting it. Recognizing this shift, I see the opportunity that needs to be seized upon sooner, rather than later. For those of you who know me, I never walk away from an opportunity I know in my gut is right. The final clue... Remember what everyone said about Google? Many were skeptical of that thing called the internet. That was something so out of this world that it couldn't be comprehended so it was sure to be fleeting. People feared it, resisted it, doubted it, waited for the "trend" to die. It didn't. It revolutionized our lives instead (for good and for bad). Tomorrow I will announce the new direction of my company. The WHY will be obvious. The HOW will be the most compelling. Clue #4... Am I keeping you in suspense? Are you figuring this out by now? Do we all feel like the world is changing at warp speed, unlike we have ever seen before? Every day seems to require more and more adjustment. It really is exhausting. I try to shut out all the noise and only focus on what really matters, will give me the greatest opportunity to serve my family, friends, and clients better, and allow me to grow and become better personally, professionally, and spiritually. I can't' control change and the massive unexpected challenges and hardships that have been thrown my way. None of us can, yet we want to and we fight it. All I can control is my reaction to it. l can accept it, get back up, adjust to it, grow from it, and as my husband says, "keep moving forward." Change has happened around us, and it's not stopping. I am moving forward to embracing this massive change that has been thrust upon all of us. I am so excited about what's to come. Clue #2.... If we wait around watching change and then reacting to it in the middle of it, we will lose. Let's not forget about the impact COVID had on our business (and everything else). Many were thinking it would just pass. Others saw a problem to solve and seized upon it --- and thrived. With disruption, chaos, and the unknown comes elevated creativity, brilliant problem solving, calculated risk taking, and the creation of needs (not just filling them). Being proactive, taking control, and plotting a strategy to move forward before it hits us hard is how we will win. Knowing the difference makes all the difference. Something major has changed. I've made a major change. I know it is the right one and not questioning it one bit but that doesn't mean I'm not nervous about it. Change is always stress inducing regardless of how sure we are. Over the next few days, I will be posting a few clues. A major announcement will come on June 3, not keep you in suspense (well a little). I will leave you with today's clue. Bill Gates is spot on. Success and survival is about reinvention. As we see the world around us quickly evolving, we must pivot, embrace it, adapt to it, and get our creative juices flowing to seize the new opportunities in front of us. This is true entrepreneurship. And if I do not take these next steps, I will not be practicing what I preach to the entrepreneurs I work with and thousands who have crossed my path.
