Congratulations to a great Gunslinger, Dr. Will Fitzsimons, 67th CW Executive Director, on his promotion to the grade of GG-15! Dr. Fitzsimons has been a valuable member of our Gunslinger team for many years, first starting as our wing historian. He helped establish our Analysis and Assessments directorate to take lessons learned to improve our processes and operations going forward. He was a crucial leader in the re-establishment of our warrant officers, and now most recently been hired as our executive director. He is one of our many high-performing Gunslingers that work diligently everyday to ensure that we organize, train, and equip our lethal cyber operators to protect our nation across cyberspace. ?? This past Saturday, our commander and command chief, Col. Picklesimer and CMSgt. Power, with a squad of great Gunslingers were out at the CyberTexas Foundation Mayor's Cup and College/Tech Fair talking with middle school and high school students on the amazing career opportunities they can have with the 67th Cyberspace Wing. The event brought together approximately 550 middle and high school students from area schools, as well as over 100 representatives from industry, military and academia, at the Boeing Center at Tech Port to celebrate AFA CyberPatriot and the achievements of these teams over this season. The wing and many of our Gunslingers love to devote some extra time to support the CyberPatriot program. We do this by coaching local teams and educating them on the evolving field of cybersecurity and mentoring the next group of cyber professionals and hopefully future Gunslingers! ??
