It's been 18 years this week since we started 6 Degrees Inc. It was on a day much like today, sunny and pleasant, that I wrote the business plan and budget on a napkin at Richard Walker's in Glenview, IL. I was young, scared and focused. I had lunch last week with a candidate at Bob Chinn's, that turned out to be memorable. What seemed to be a routine placement, was a bit more. Our candidate was special, talented and driven. She had been passed over for promotion multiple times, but took the high road. We found her the perfect match, a step up in title, duties, and pay. Everyone was very happy, including myself, who got quite emotional. This business is highly rewarding when it all comes together. There is no feeling like helping someone change their situation for the better, and increasing their quality of life. Since we started in 06, we've helped thousands of candidates find their perfect gig, and their perfect person. This is the reward. I'm very proud of our people. We care about our candidates and clients, and when it all lines up, there is nothing like it...
